First impression stepping into the restaurant is that the interior of the shop is quite rundown. Since this shop is serving Fuzhou cuisine, we tried their red wine chicken mee suah and the lor mee (braised noodle soup with vinegar). Both dishes are disappointing. The red wine soup is even more disappointing with very light taste of inconsistent red wine flavour and few strings of mee suah noodle and what makes the whole dish even disappointing is the quality of chicken meat cooked. Not a single piece of chicken meat is palatable, the chicken meats are cut into tiny small cubes until there are no generous meat to savor. The lor mee doesn’t taste like lor mee at all. It’s like hokkien mee with lots of thick gravy. I personally do not like big thick noodle. The Fuzhou style lor mee does not taste like this as I had tasted authentic Fuzhou lor mee.
