Heard about the long queues and wait and also pratas/roti canai gone before you know it. Visited on a weekday morning and it was relatively quiet. Few customers and lots of seats available. Didn't really know what to order and asked for some recommendations. The guy making the rot canai could speak some English and recommended me to try something with onion. So I ordered 1 with egg and the other with egg and onion and ordered a drink. There were not many people but still waited for a while for the food to be served. In the meantime could see the people ordering Lontong looks like it's quite popular but I wasn't really a fan of it. The roti canai served doesn't really look like roti canai. It gave me an impression that it looks more like a murtabak based on the shape and size. It was also quite nicely cut up so it was rather easy to eat. Am quite amazed that 2 pieces actually left me quite full. I have to say the roti canai is pretty good but definitely not super good as many people might say and not really the kind I would queue for. The curry is slightly too watery for my liking though it is still quite flavourful. What was interesting was them serving a saucer of chili which I have never thought of and it was really good! I never enjoyed this combination so much I finished all the chili and I still had curry left. Decent and worth a try. Also very friendly and...
Read moreNo! This is not the best roti canai in JB as proclaimed. U need to be patiently wait for ur order (mine is roti telur bawang n roti kosong) n i waited for 42 mins. There is only one abang that is cooking the roti canai with his assistant taking n deliver the order. While waiting to the much hype roti canai, i better prepare my stomach with a simple meehoon/mee kosong first with my cuppa kopi tarik kurang manis (nothing specia).
When my roti arrived, visual inspection passed but the roti kosong has crispy skin (👍🏼) but the inner part is doughy (meaning it is not properly cooked). Rejected it n my replacement wud take another hour so forget abt it. Turn to my roti telur bawang n thank god alhamdullilah omitofo it is cooked! The only thing i would give credit is the dhal; not watery n best part it is constantly on an open stove which constantly hot. Went back for seconds just for the hot dhal. As for the sambal, i must say it is generous; a plate like that leh but not to my liking coz it is more...
Read moreLady taking the order was rude. We asked for roti kosong but her reply was, we don't have roti kosong. We then asked for curry kuah and she replied, tak ada, kita ada Dahl shj. Kari lain semua tak ada.
With a black face, she asked us what we wanted to drink. I ordered my drink, while my mom went to look at the other food they offered and she yelled at my mom, aunty nak order air apa?! (For no reason)
Wtv, we just sat down after my mom ordered her drink.
After which a table came next to us and they ordered 3 roti kosongs??? We then asked her about it and she defended, I thought no more roti kosong. (Then ask your boss???)
She judges people and is extremely rude. First and last time here.
We then went somewhere else...
