By accident I found Mr. Yang's contact info in a reply on a Visa-blog. Kota Bharu is an ideal place to arrange long-term visas for Thailand. As the Thai consulate provides good services, Mr. Yang makes sure your visa-run or your local stay will happen without worries. From the moment I crossed the border from Tak Bai (Thai immigration) into Malaysia, I asked the taxi driver to call Mr. Yang and from then everything went smoothly. At arrival in Kota Bharu me, my wife and our little boy waited him for a few minutes at the taxi stop, where he picked us up as his homestay is a little hidden behind the large KB shopping mall. It is just 5 mins. walking from the mall and centre. A warm welcome and litterally any request was fullifilled. Mr. Yang is a very helpful and retired man who arranged with his wife and daughter the homestay to make people really feel home. It is very basic, but you have everything you need from hot water, new beds, free wifi, a shared TV area and a shared kitchen for coffee, tea, cold drinks or warm up some food. There are no etiquettes with do's or don'ts which makes me feel even more appreciate the place as we see daily Mr. Yang checking if we're ok and cleaning the place... and clean it is! The price is really reasonable from about 400 for a single to 750 ringit for a family room. No extras or specials... For our visit to the Thai Embassy Mr. Yang insisted to bring us overthere, even to our dinner out and the shopping mall.. Honestly I would really recommend Mr. Yang's homestay, as I haven't seen such helpful, honest and interesting people for a while. Even if you need a little more luxury, I am all ok with the overall feeling of the experience, so do my family, as it feels quite alike. I could describe it as a mutual feeling of respect, so give Mr. Yang a good tip for all his services, which is fully worth it! All the best to you and your family, truly appreciated !...
Read moreThis is the first time I’m so willing to write 5-star review. I really want to promote this place to any visitor or anyone want to find a stay over here!
This owner is super duper friendly! You wont regret staying here. I wish I have more time to stay here. This owner will be one of the reason make me want to visit KB again.
This Homestay is very cyclist friendly! Owner is a cyclist lover. He’s very humorous and friendly! Even tho he’s busy but he still put effort to bring us to cycle around KB, bring us to good place and good food. He also bring us to some route that normal tourist wont find, some hidden gems in KB. He know a lot about Kota Bahru and Kelantan too! We have a lot of fun with him.
Although I’m only there for 2 nights, but we create a lot of fun and happy memories. He’s like our friend more than just a Homestay owner! His Homestay is also expanding, ready to accommodate more people.
For me Price: 10/10 Cleanliness...
Read moreHave a great stay at Little Cozy Homestay. The place is comfortable & clean. And have aircond in the room. The convenience store, shopping mall, local food shop can be easily accessed within walking distances.
The owner of this Homestay, Uncle Yang, is very friendly and helpful. Will answer and suggest the local food shop & other nice places to me.
I have a cycling tour with him from Kota Bahru- Tumpat- Kampung Laut- Kota Bahru (Covering sleeping buddha temple, sitting buddha temple, dragon boat temple, masjid hitam, boat ride back to Kota Bahru). He helped me to rent the bicycle and touring me around. This is an amazing experience that I can cycle around here, pass by the paddy field, railway station, farms, river, as well as eat the tropical fruits along the journey.
Feel blessed that I'm able to meet him. Definitely will come back to stay here if I travel around Kelatan.
Highly recommended to stay here,...
