Hotel 99 Sri Petaling @ Bukit Jalil KL — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

This is the first time in my life that I have ever written a review for a hotel — which shows just how upset I am. I clearly booked two single beds via Agoda, yet I was given one double bed instead.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location, which is convenient for food and drinks. However, for anyone who prefers peace and quiet, this is definitely not the place to stay — the bar next door plays loud music until 3 a.m., and early in the morning, cars honk their horns on the street.

The hotel’s facilities are extremely disappointing. The door lock was broken, and when I reported it to the front desk, they said every room is like that, and told me that using another lock would be fine. The bathroom door lock was also broken. The toilet seat was damaged and would shift when sat on — my elderly mother almost fell because of it!

In the middle of the night, the air conditioning turned off by itself while we were sleeping. The hairdryer was terrible — it stopped blowing halfway through use and became completely unusable. At 12:02 p.m., the front desk even called to remind us to check out.

This is honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told the owner was on holiday. I hope this feedback reaches the owner directly so that real improvements can be made, rather than staff simply giving excuses to dismiss customers.

Even the room only had a single thin roll of toilet paper. This hotel is absolutely unacceptable.

“The management of this hotel is truly problematic. A year ago, guests already reported issues with the door locks. The staff admitted that many rooms had the same problem and said they had notified the management—but management took no action. One year later, during my first stay, I encountered the exact same issue again! If the owner is that stingy, I’d advise them to just go out of business. We consumers don’t deserve this. I really can’t tell whether the staff failed to inform the owner or the owner deliberately chose...

Hotel 99 Sri Petaling is a good option for travelers looking for affordable accommodation that is within easy reach. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, and the rooms may be small but are tidy and well-furnished with amenities such as air conditioning, comfortable bedding, and free Wi-Fi. The staff are polite and professional, and the check-in and check-out were both quick and hassle-free.

Its big advantages are the place, near to restaurants and business stores; besides, it is very easy to roam about, in addition to which going and coming from Kuala Lumpur is also very easy due to the abundant public transport means.

However, there is one major downside to this, which is the bar adjacent to the hotel. Though the vibrant environment may be suitable and attractive to some, the noise seems rather intrusive, even during the night, as background laughter and screams from the more vibrant patrons cannot let light sleepers rest and have their peaceful night's sleep. This is in sharp contrast to the hotel, which is really quiet, though with the external noise infiltration especially during weekends.

Granted, Hotel 99 at Sri Petaling gives good value for its price and clean facilities. Besides, the strategic location makes the overall package just okay; however, be ready for a possible noise disturbance. Bring your eye patch and ear plugs are highly recommended if you're planning...

We checked into the hotel way past midnight and was able to check in after informing the staff through a call. The blanket was alright, very clean and had no stains but the bedsheet wasnt as clean. There were big patches of oil stains, brown dirt on the bedsheet near the pillows and overall a disgusting sight. Other than that the rooms were not very soundproof as the streets were very noisy up till past 1am due to nearby bars. The aircon was at 16 degrees which the room did not have any remote control to adjust. We had to off the aircon with the switch at midnight as it was too cold, and on it again when it gets too warm. The plus point was the shower is nice and warm, there is toothbrus, showcap, shampoo,body soap and toilet roll given and the sink has hot water...
