Monkey Mansion Jalan Ipoh — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

I read all the reviews and thought this place won't be nice but my expectations exceeded with warm hospitality by Thiago. I'll breakdown all points. Staff: Nice, friendly and supportive. You can ask for any help and they will be there for you. Rooms: Ofcourse bunk bed but AC works well and no one disturb you. Safety: every person gets locker and there are cameras so don't worry about your belongings Facilities: They have kitchen, you can cook your food if you want, sharing bathroom and toilet with hot and cold water. Space for chilling and smoking (Just be quite in the night so no one get disturbed) Wifi: really good wifi. Food: you can find many restaurants nearby mainly Indian, (North and South Indian food) Bangladeshi, Malaysian food. Domino's and burger King is also on walking distance. 24 hours open marts Metro is at walking distance, major bank ATMs

Locality is nice, some complaints that most of Indian and Bangladeshi are there, so what? Be nice to others and everyone is nice to you.

I am enjoying my stay. Highly recommended this place for backpackers, couch surfers and those travelling solo...

For me, this is the best hostel in KL.

I stayed here for about three weeks.

❤️ The owner is very kind, honest, and helpful. The bedrooms are 4-bed or 6-bed dorms with bunk beds, and they were clean enough.

It's a great bonus to have a kitchen and a refrigerator, so you can cook your own meals.

There are supermarkets, restaurants, and pharmacies within walking distance, which is very convenient.

There's a separate building with a pool and a park, which guests can use for free.

Although the hostel is a bit outside of KL's city center, I actually liked that it meant fewer passersby. It's also conveniently located near a subway station, making access to the city center easy.

💔 My only minor weak points were that the Wi-Fi sometimes became spotty at night and the water pressure in the showers was a bit weak.

However, these weren't significant issues for me, and I will definitely stay at MonkeyMansion again when I come to KL next time❤️

Not advice to stay here. Look for Chinatown hostel instead. Rude Owner. Money minded instead of comfort focused. Out of no where they will blame you for damaging things that's not within CCTV coverage. Becarefull. Always make booking through online and never pay directly. Travelers are being isolated based on Race and nationalities. The owner treat you based on their mood. Aircond are hot. No proper airflow. No action taken after complaining regards to aircond. The owners doesn't allow travelers to talk to other travelers often without any reason at times and it can ended up they asking you to leave the place anytime by shouting. TV is broken. No action taken to work on the particular issue. Be extra very careful. Sometimes, blankets seems not washed or not washed properly where is has kinda weird smell. Stay away from this hostel by all means as it's not a hostel either but it's an old appartment converted to...
