Come here for authentic Malaysian Chinese and Indonesian Surabaya vegan food! I've been coming here almost every day/week/month since they opened last year. I've had almost everything on the menu and the flavours are always consistent and on point.
My favs are the nasi goreng kampung, pan mee, curry mee, fried beehoon, fried chee cheong fan, and the best ever gado-gado in Kuala Lumpur.
Food is now all garlic/onion free. The food is vegetarian and you can ask for vegan but most of their food is vegan anyway. Just ask the super friendly staff!
This place is such a great community spot. You see people from all walks of life from seniors to younger office workers, and all ethnicities, Malays, Chinese, Indians coming here to enjoy the food. You can tell how much people appreciate this place so much when there are so many locals as regulars. It can get a bit busy during weekday lunches.
The location on google maps is a bit weird, it's actually the same row as 99 Speedmart supermarket. Just 3 min walk from MRT Sentul Barat.
They now serve nasi campur/economy rice/zhap fan on weekdays lunch which is super affordable (I had 1 brown rice and 3 dishes for RM9).
Take note they don't accept card, only bank transfer and cash. There are banks and ATMs around 5-8 min walk away.
I've been to quite a few vegan places in KL and this is hands down my top pick for affordable and delicious vegan eats in Kuala Lumpur. Totally underrated!! I keep coming back and craving their food every time I'm away...
Read moreIt's a simple outlet with good food. Dishes are suited for single serving, order more & share.
All the dishes below are their recommended dishes, all were good.
The curry laksa is flavourful, opted for meehoon. Requested for additional tofu & bean sprouts. They could add more vegetables - long beans & brinjal, it will also add colour & texture to the dish.
The fried chee chong fan was well made. Ordered the spicy version. Well balanced with tofu & bean sprouts.
The fried mee hoon is another good dish. Well balanced in flavours & adequate amount of vegetables.
The nasi goreng kampong was bright & colourful, certainly a feast for the eyes. The differentiation factor was the crunch, in some bites - the veg anchovies from mushrooms. Even without it, it would still be great.
Do look for Elaine, she's happy to make recommendations & is friendly.
All our orders were egg free. The food was like home cooking. Reasonably priced for such a good meal.
The Lemongrass tea is recommended, was unavailable. Instead had hot lemon barley, it was good.
Payment is cash or via apps. No credit card...
Read moreThis was walking distance from where I was staying in KL. I came here for breakfast and had the curry laksa, char siew bao and teh o. Everything tasted so good and was very delicious. Possibly my favourite vegetarian restaurant I have visited during my brief stay in KL. I chose to have the laksa with yellow noodles, which I was told was egg-free. This tasted really good. It was very flavourful and aromatic. Consists of tofu puffs, green beans, eggplant. Good portion of noodles and broth and toppings. I was told there is no garlic, onion and msg in the dish.
I wish I could order more dishes as there were many good vegan options. The menu consists of traditional Malaysian dishes including noodles, rice, bao, as well as Indonesian. Tons of vegan dishes. They told me later their dishes do not contain garlic and onion, and msg. I would come back here again and try other dishes.
Friendly and good customer service. It was clean and quiet space. Seating were stools. There was a small station to add in condiments to dishes if needed, as well as water was...
