The Kasbah — Hotel in Langkawi Island

We stayed for new years eve at the Kasbah. In total we spent there 16 days. Everything was clean, everybody very kind. It was the perfect choice of accomondation for our Langkawi trip. If we are going back to Langkawi, we definitely would choose the Kasbah again! The only thing is that you don't know when the eatery is open or not. This is so exhausting when you're planning to have breakfast at 9 because you have to leave 30mins later, but nobody is there... without any reason. In the evening you can have burger but in 16 days we didn't make it once to get some. They were closed (also for no reason) or we had other plans for our evening. I still follow them on Insta and there are still posting the day before in the evening "breakfast closed tomorrow". It is just not good for their business... People are there for holidays and they want to have breakfast everyday, not when the stuff is ready to work... When the opening times say "xx" until "xx" they should hbeen open...

WARNING!!! GORGEOUS YET PERILOUS!! The premises are frequented by thieves and individuals involved in drug activities! Ensure utmost vigilance over your possessions CONSTANTLY. Place no trust in any member of the staff. Despite informing the hotel staff of our robbery, they provided no assistance until the intervention of Langkawi Police. The police informed us that a similar incident had occurred 3 days prior, yet the hotel staff remained silent about it (until Police intervened).

Traveling demands constant vigilance, yet the current level of security and assistance is utterly inadequate. I strongly discourage staying there until CCTV (common in SEA) is installed and security measures...

This place is so wonderful. We recently got married and had the last part of our honeymoon in Langkawi. We decided to venture out of our resort one evening to visit The Kasbah and it’s probably one of the highlights of our time in Langkawi. It’s a bit hidden away but the amazing structure and lovely relaxed vibe with tasty food and great music made it an amazing evening. We enjoyed watching the Muay Thai practice next door too.
