隔壁老王咖啡馆 Neighbour Lao Wang Cafe — Restaurant in Malacca

Chanced upon this stall online, and surprisingly, it is good! I have ordered 2 bowl of lala, one original (which they use ginger based), one is 奶油, and 2 snacks (the luncheon and popcorn chicken). Personally, I feel that the snacks are subpar. I don't really recommend getting this 2. The luncheon could be better if using better luncheon meat. The creamy butter is quite nice, it is not too thick gravy, so it blends well with the noodles and lala. However, after eating it awhile, you will feel sick of the taste, which is where the original one comes in, to cleanse your taste bud.

It is a big serving, it is recommended for 2 pax per bowl, and it is relatively cheap. 15-18rm per bowl for 2 pax. Which is like, 7.5-9 rm per person.

Drinks are slightly more pricey, but it is a huge cup. So...

Tried their three main courses, namely Lao Wang Lala, Piggy Bee Hun and Sawadikap Bee Hun. Strongly recommended the Sawadikap Bee Hun. This one in fact is the tomyam bee hun. With the nice tomyam paste and some add on from their secret recipe, it is delicious, especially the dao kee. The portion is big enough for two persons. Piggy bee hun, the pork also delicious but do not expect for oily one. It is normal pork but nice to bite. Its taste is more on the pepper type. For Lala soup, a bit disappointed, as the combination of wine and some other ingredients cause the taste a bit weird. For the drink, ordered jasmine honey and honey milk.
