Purposely grab here to have our dinner but the experience is a total disappointment.

Came here during dinner time and it’s already full. Saw a guy in front of me waited by the roadside, we’re the second group of people waiting followed by third couple waiting.

Got our seats and thought it’s time to order. But the lady boss took order for the third couple first. After that we asked the guy for order and he asked us to wait then he left somewhere on his motorcycle. Waited a while and raised hand to ask, one old uncle told to wait. We waited for some time again and raised our hand to ask for order but lady boss raised voice that she wanted to collect money first. After that then she went to another table to collect order. As a boss or person in charge I think it’s fair that you are more observant on who comes first. Not fair for a customer who come earlier to wait longer than someone who comes later.

Originally named by the previous owner, Teh Sin Chiang—who admired Japanese culture but never served Japanese food—the name stuck even after Hwang took over in 1975. And yes, they still don’t serve Japanese food, but Penang-Hainanese food instead! 😆

Some of their must try dishes include the stewed herbal chicken, salt fish curry, and their famous scrambled eggs with soy dressing.

A very old established restaurant well known for simple no frills yet delicious food. Always good lunch crowd everyday. Noticed that patronage is more of the older generations. Not exactly attracting the younger crowds. Not helped by the old school ambience which seems stuck in the 1970s. Definitely a dose of nostalgia for us.

We arrived at 1145am which is their opening time. By 1215pm the place is already full house, on a Tuesday.

Ordered their signature dishes: prawns, eggs, vege and fish for 3 pax. Tastes wonderful, just like 40 years ago. Bill totalled RM68 including drinks. Great...
