If you are expecting for a pleasant stay, this is definitely not the place to go to.
Despite the customer service being extremely welcoming & helpful, the owner of the premises might chase you off when they deemed you are not 'following their rules.' What happened to us was, we booked 4 ROOMs for 4 of us. It was a friend's birthday so we decided to bring over some balloons to celebrate with her. However, while the owner (who stays opposite of the premise) saw us with the balloons, he immediately stopped us and offered to refund FULLY to us as he mentioned that there should be no celebration in the premise. While it was not mentioned earlier that no celebration is allowed, we too understand that the location is within housing areas, we should not be making any noise and causing any trouble to the owner. Hence, we decided to agree upon that offer and leave to another location - risking to ruin every single plans of ours. What really upset us was, the owner refused to refund 100% to us - even though it was agreed from the beginning and we only checked in to one of the four rooms we booked. To be frank, the money was not the issue, but we ruined our plan to be considerate & the trust was broken.
On top of the incident, we would also like to point out that the premises is in a really bad condition in terms of cleanliness, location & convenience. First of, the fridge in the common area is extremely disgusting & dodgy and not to the mention there is a weird smell lingering in the room. Secondly, it was mentioned in the T&C that we have to pay for extra parking - but honestly it was a really tight & old housing area, it was really difficult to find a parking spot, not to even mention the safety & convenience of it.
In conclusion, we are writing this not in the hope of ruining the business for the owner, but we hope to highlight that if you are holding a balloon you better think twice. Jokes aside, we hope that the owner of the premises can review on the condition of the house & also the attitude of treating...
Read moreIt is a 3 storey terrace house located in Bandar Utama. My brother in law booked this place for us so that we can conveniently attend to his son's wedding at nearby Eastin Hotel. The air b n b terrace facility reminded me of my previous landed house at Villa Verde in Singapore, spacious and the rooms are big. The front porch is able to accommodate 2 cars and the gate is easy to operate. Security wise it is very safe as the staff are always seen attending to few units nearby thus service is prompt. ||My sister in law was worried that the place is remotely far from eateries and bought some pasteries for us in case we are hungry. But there is a Centre Point shopping mall located just 5 mins drive from our Air b n b with many eateries. Car parking at the mall is free from 6 pm to 4 am on a weekday. ||We had exquisite Japanese food for our dinner at Takashi Japanese restaurant at the mall. My son in law and I had Aoki zen set box while my family ordered Osaka box, chicken Teriyaki miso ramen with side dishes yasai tempura and mushroom soup. The total bill added up to RM167.55 which is about S$60/- reasonably priced. We also bought some fruits and bread at the Jaya Grocery. There is also a small food court in the mall and I noticed my favourite Lei Char.||The place is clean and well maintained. The air conditions function well. The only demerit point is the water volume is rather low at the 3rd floor rendering the bath taking not very smooth.||Overall, we...
Read moreMy lovely wife and I spent two nights here when visiting Ipoh. It's more like staying in an Airbnb than in a guesthouse as the lack of a front desk and the self check in & check out process means you're unlikely to see any staff members. The owner is, however, contactable by text so there's someone available if you need them but don't expect much in the way of personal service. ||||We stayed in a superior queen room. It was basic but fairly comfortable. No windows. No TV. Not much in the way of furniture. I guess you could call it minimalist. But the air conditioning worked well and the shower was pretty hot. The bed was very low level which could be a problem if you're old or infirm but we found it very comfy. Some reviewers have mentioned traffic noise but we didn't hear any, perhaps because we had an internal room. ||||The lounge area is also pretty basic. The artworks liven it up a bit but it remains fairly austere. OK if you want a quick cup of coffee or some toast to start the day but not somewhere that's nice to kick back and relax in.||||All in all an OK place to stay and not bad value at RM75 per night. I wouldn't particularly recommend it but if you're looking for budget accommodation you could do...
