OMG, what an AWFUL hotel. Room like a shoe box and it is definitely small for all races and or for even small children. I am thinking maybe this hotel was designed by an EX tinned sardines packer staffmember who made it rich winning the Lotto and was able to buy land and to build this unimaginable hotel. I can't believe that the local IPOH City Council or federal government had allowed this place to be built in the first place. Also, within the hotel room, nothing was laid out was practical as even the power switch was placed close to the power socket hole and if you had small fingers you were MAYBE able to switch it on. I stayed in a double bedroom on my own and I had been one person, but I had found it even hard to move or manouvre around this petite room. All four corners of the room walls need at least three layers of paint to just look normal. The bed sheets were thin and were made and used back in the days of the year 1916 and yes really need replacement. Not even worth staying an hour, let alone a day. The best part of my stay here is when I had the privelige in signing out and grabbing my 50 ringgit deposit back and had left the place happily ever after and yes i never turned around to look at this place again saying to myself yes I made it out safe and sound. FYI, it is currently flooding in some parts of mainland China and many people there are relocating elsewhere from their homes... this place is better off than them I guess so why am I really writing this lenthy and long hotel review I may wonder... In conclusion, to be fair the service was great as I really feel sorry for the staff the most, as I am guessing they cop a lot of face to face contact with dissatisfied people on a daily basis. Next time if I visit Ipoh and the town is all booked out but this one has rooms vacant, I will wisely choose to sleep in the bus station for sure instead of doing it again in this hell hole of a hotel....
Read moreOne of the rooms booked was handed to me in a very poorly and dirty conditions. The room smelled bad. Couldn't capture the musty smell on camera 🤢The bed had plaster bagworms or also known as dustworms and linens were dirty as well. The walls and the edges were wet and clumpy and i didn't even want to see the bathroom. I requested to change room but they were out of the same type of room. So i requested for other type, and there were 1 available but it had to be an upgrade, which meant i have to pay extra. I feel they should have upgraded me without extra charges as this was entirely the property responsibility. The upgrade room wasn't too great but so much better than the initial one. There were hairs on the sheet which i had to dust off 😒 I only wanted to have a moderate & simple place to sleep for a night! I hope the owner/management is aware of this. And if they are oblivious to my complaints, well, i hope other travellers give this place a miss, unless there is no other choice, like me, as I didn't really have much...
Read moreHotel is not exactly very clean, towels were old and tattered. Unless you’re really on a tight budget, I wouldn’t recommend you to stay here. But for those Of you who are travelling on a shoestring, you can consider this an option. You can stay for the night, get your rest, then leave early the next morning for some sightseeing in Ipoh town. I booked a Family room for 3 people (with no views and no windows at all) for RM55. With regards to the old and tattered towels, well, just bring your own towel if you’re planning to stay here. You wouldn’t even dare to wipe your hands on them. Anyway, negatives aside, this hotel location isn’t too bad. It’s very near to AEON Station 18. Do not allow the address ‘station’ to fool you though. It’s nowhere near the bus station nor the train station. It costs about RM26 by GRAB from Aman Jaya bus station to this hotel. By car, that’s about half an hour’s drive. There are some restaurants around the hotel, some halal, some not halal, so where food is concerned, this hotel is...
