This place is absolutely mess, the staff service totally destroyed the purpose of (a reservation / booking) and black sea members - making a reservation in very advance few days ago. But end up the staff putting reservations queue number with walk in queue number in the same - and using hand writing for queue number - that’s is totally don’t know the actual queue number serving - that’s is totally different with other branch and is it not transparent! Other branch is using digital through TV shown is more fair to customer. Planning to went there to celebrate my oversea best friend birthday but the experience is unpleasant and disappointed. Waiting for an hour and the staff response is yup (booking is same with walk in need to be wait and getting the same queue numbers) - still have 2 tablets havent in yet only will be ur turn. (And she said the others is waiting longer than u and still waiting) how could u compare a reservation with non reservation!? Is this as haidilao service ? Customer have reach in advance before the reservation time and booked few days a go - end up receiving staff for this serving. The staff a girl who wearing spectacles with chubby - it’s make me experience the worst service in Haidilao that the staff even an apologise also did not said- other state branch is perfect service - but in ipoh staff service is poor. And I first time saw one of this branches outside waiting area can be messy until no one clean...

HaiDiLao is known for its high-quality hotpot experience and exceptional customer service, so I had high expectations when visiting the Station 18 branch in Ipoh. While the food quality was on par with the brand’s usual standards—fresh ingredients, flavorful broths, and a variety of dipping sauces—the service was noticeably different from what I’ve experienced at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur branch.
At Pavilion KL, the service is consistently top-tier, with attentive staff, frequent refills, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. However, at Station 18, the service felt less engaging and not as personalized. One of the waiters seemed less proactive, and the little extra touches that make HaiDiLao special—like the enthusiastic greetings, quick response times, and overall attentiveness—were not as evident.
That said, if you’re in Ipoh and craving HaiDiLao’s signature hotpot, this branch still delivers on food quality. However, if you’ve been to other locations, especially in KL, you might notice the difference in service. Hopefully, with some improvements, the Station 18 branch can live up to HaiDiLao’s reputation for outstanding...
Read moreHad an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Haidilao today, and I want to give a special shoutout to our server, Jia Hui, and the entire service team. Everyone was professional, attentive, and genuinely warm.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm towels to freshen up—such a nice touch. Jia Hui’s service was perfectly balanced: not overly enthusiastic or intrusive, but attentive and considerate in all the right ways. Everything felt “just right.”
For example, when she noticed I was using my phone, she proactively brought over a phone holder without me even asking. There were so many small details like that done extremely well. Another one: we grabbed some aiyu jelly dessert, and she immediately noticed that there were no spoons in the bowl and brought them over right away—no need to ask.
Every little part of the experience was thoughtfully handled. Nothing felt forced—it was smooth, natural, and sincerely attentive. You could tell the team really pays attention to the customer experience.
Huge thanks to Jia Hui and the whole team. This was the kind of service that makes you feel truly taken care of and makes you want to come back. Definitely a...
