Avoid at all cost. I stayed here on biz trip on May 24 2022. Unfortunately there were not so many good hotel in Kemaman. So we took risk by paying for 3 nights. The staff is ok however the room n hotel is so terrible. First impression - the key access card was recycle from previous guests. The plastic card is almost become soft like a cardboard. It was laminated with tape like there is no spare card for them . The carpet in the hallway is so dirty u can see so many debris or what not. The room is large n spacy kinda empty. No sofa. a queen bed with small table n warung chair. Carpet in the room is so dirty with unpleasant smell. Bed sheet look clean however i spend the 1st night with body itch. I got rashes in multiple body area probably from the unhygienic bed sheet. I feel like gettong a new bed sheet from the nearby shop but i plan to check out from this nightmare tomorrow morning. Later i found n have to put a fight with cockroach which i found 1 in the bath room. I have to wake up n went to 7eleven and bought roach spray. I killed 3 roaches that night. Next morning i told the staff that i want to check out, however, into my dismay, the management wont refund me (for another 2 night that i already prepaid). They said i was given promotional price so in the T&C there is no refund. (i wasn't brief about this T&C when I'm checking in. Disappointed, i have to stay to finish my business in Kemaman. Heck, the manager wont see or talk to me - he only pass the message to the frontdesk staff!! The bathroom is spacy yet feel empty. The water pressure for shower is low. Bathroom Cleanliness is like 5/10. The room is not properly kept. On one day, i found the bed is not made, the mug is not clean. On one other day, they didn't change the towel and toiletries. I purposely left the roaches carcass on the floor and until the 3rd day of my stay, they didn't remove it. This showed how bad is the housekeeping. I also noticed there are lots of A4 paper and mineral water boxes in front of many rooms - later the staff told me they were used to put item (towel, toiletries etc) for the quarantined offshore workers that stayed there. The boxes were aged well like they were there for years. Why don't the hotel invest on a proper shelving system o a plastic boxes instead of being cheap by using card boxes. Anyway, i wont stay here again and advice you all to avoid this hotel. The manager was so arrogant they he refused to see/call me regarding refund issue even i demanded the staff to let me talk to the manager. I would give no star for this hotel but google ask me to put on at least 1 start for me to submit this review.. Please avoid this hotel at all cost, unless u are willing to feel all of the above. BTW, i was charge RM14x.xx per night (promotion price) which is absolutely absurd with what i experienced...
Read moreCons -Paid for a city view room but was given a windowless room -went dwn n request for room change based on the price that I have paid. Reception didn't bother to check before giving the assigned room. -welcome with a lousy lobby with old worn off sofa -lift button requires thumb not any other finger for the sensor to work -damp smell along the room corridor and the room itself. Bad ventilation. -basin water is slower than a male's pee -heater seems dated. Better becareful when using -room carpet is old and dirty -room with window requires a super heavy sleeper. The road is very noisy with till 3am. It gets quiet around 5am. I didn't get any sleep this i do know the timing. -towel seems dirty. Decided to purchase my own towel. Didn't dare to use their towel -no clean and new toilet roll available. Decided to ignore and use my own tissue papaer -wc is dirty. Yellow stain in the bowl and the sides of the ring -wobbly chair and table -wall paper in the corridor and room is peeling -over priced at RM140/night for that type of standard. It's only worth RM50/night. With RM140 /night in KL, u get clean and comfortable stay with lift
Pros -opp hai Peng and nearby...
Read moreWe arrived at the hotel after 10 pm. Didn't make any reservations but there are rooms available.
Mr Din the receptionist was friendly & helpful. We paid a room for RM145/nite (which is expensive for a bad-conditioned hotel). WIFI only works in the lobby.
The interior needs upgrading immediately. As we entered the level of our room, a pungent smell hit our noses. The smell of damp carpet! From the corridor & continue inside our room. We can see peeled paint all over the place.
The room itself is stinky (the carpet smells & dirty). But the bathroom is clean. The water heater & air-con works well. Windows has no soundproofing & the curtains are not sunblock. Luckily it was a public holiday, so the main road was quiet.
Close to eateries & a few minutes walk to the wet/dry market selling traditional food. Parkings are in abundance but need to buy a coupon on weekdays, or else you get summoned by the local authority.
I don't know how the management of the hotel doesn't even care about the hotel's condition! The 1st & the last of...
