Went to Kemaman Museum and honestly, it was such a letdown. The place clearly hasn’t been maintained, exhibits are the same old stuff from 5–6 years ago, nothing new or updated. Checked Google reviews before going and yep, they were right: no interactive displays, no engaging content… just boring. On top of that, they didn’t even bother to turn on the aircond, so it was super stuffy inside. The worst part? The security guard. He was blasting TikTok videos and songs on his phone the whole time, completely ignored us when we asked questions, and didn’t even reply when we greeted him with a Salam. Might as well not have a guard at all if he’s just sitting there scrolling TikTok for a free paycheck. Honestly, this place could’ve been interesting if they actually cared, but right now it’s just a waste of time.

The Kemaman Museum was honestly a letdown. The place feels poorly maintained—dusty, dull, and neglected. There’s no air conditioning, so the entire visit was uncomfortably hot, especially on a humid day. The security guard was openly watching TikTok videos on loud volume, completely indifferent to visitors. It really disrupted the atmosphere and showed a lack of professionalism. As for the exhibits, they were way too basic and worn out. Most displays looked like they hadn’t been updated in years—just faded posters, a few generic items behind glass, and almost no interactive or engaging content. It could’ve been a great place to learn about local history, but sadly it felt more like an afterthought. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re really bored and have 10 minutes to kill—and even then, don’t expect much.

As at 8th June 2022. This is a FREE ADMISSION Museum. A very small museum but if you are hungry for historic facts of Kemaman Town, Terengganu Heroes and some old currencies history then this is the right place for you. Suitable for children as this place has a brief and short reading information for them too. It was a school holiday, but the museum seem very quiet when we came in. I give 5 stars for the Authority's effort to setup this Museum for the public.
