La Pointe Villas — Hotel in Isle Mauritius

Excellent first impression with a warm welcome by Richard who is very friendly and always there to help, thank your Richard. Our 2 rooms apartment was as described, very large, clean, quiet and well protected by cameras. The pool was clean and long enough to swim :-). It is a pity that the bed are extremely hard. Wifi in the 2 rooms apartment is low (0.5 Mbps dowload). Please also note that the tennis court is not in the villa (probably in the club Med nearby).

We had to leave 4 days before the end of the booking. Instead of cancelling for free (and rebooking), we called the owner before the start of our stay to tell him that we had to shorten our stay. He told us it was not a problem, that he would refund us the nights not used. Unfortunately, for us, he refunded us only the amount he received from expedia/booking (and with a 5% lower exchange rate MUR – euros than at the bank average rate). We therefore lost about 90 euros in the process compared to the case where we would have cancelled and rebooked fewer days (we could but did not do it because the owner told us he would refund us anyway).

Despite this bad experience, we really enjoyed staying 4 nights in the north of Mauritius, great for beaches, diving/snorkelling, boat excursions to small islands...

If you are looking for luxury you can look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a HOME visit La pointe Villas. The owner Richard is a very selfless guy who lived to his saying, “when you are happy, I am happy”

Call Richard and he will leave whatever he is doing, come even in the rain and attend to you.

The villas is strategically situated in a quiet environment. A walking distance away from the main hustle. Travel 5 minutes to the busy places, have some fun and return to the tranquility of this home. The richness of space in the compound is cool especially for families.

Gerade zurück gekommen.Waren schon das zweite mal dort.Werden auch immer wieder dort hin fahren.Man hat alles was man braucht.Die Nähe zu einem kleinen Supermarkt,Bäckerei,Restaurants ist toll.Man benötigt kein Auto für die ganze Zeit.Kurze Strecken legten wir mit dem Bus zurück.Strand Mon Choisy ist ca.10 min. zu Fuss.Richard und Rachel helfen bei allen nötigen Problemen,bei uns kam ein Koffer nicht an.Die Villa ist sauber und könnte im Bad eine kleine Renovierung vertragen.Aber man ist ja eigentlich nur zum duschen und schlafen in der Wohnung.Der Pool ist super wenn man mal keine Lust hat an den Strand zu gehen.Die 2 Restaurants,Selfish und Le Palmier schlagen jedes Hotel.Wir haben uns auf jeden Fall super erholt und wohl...
