CocoChill Restaurant / Bar à cocktails / Swimming Pool — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

We have been talking about going to coco chill for sometime. Upon arrival we had a friendly greeting, seated and were provided menus, received our first round of drinks and that's pretty much the best service we received for the duration of our evening. Our waiter, never got his name, he was dismal (his new name). The second round of drinks I had to go order from the bar, got my beer but they forgot my wife's drink... I had to remind them... I had the chicken burger which was amazing my wifes pizza was great. When I was done they took my plate away but left hers, didn't offer takeaway, the dismal waiter must have walked past us 3 or 4 times before my wife asked him for a takeaway. He was not friendly, it was as if he was there to be there and made it feel like we were an inconvenience to him. It wasn't busy, another couple sat across from us that's it, so can't even blame being busy. We were thinking of bringing family, friends or work associates and clients around, but because of the service, not a chance. Would we be back sure but I'll make sure we don't get served by...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cocochill in Grand Baie, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cool, inviting atmosphere. The décor is stylish and modern, creating a perfect ambiance for a relaxing meal.

The service was exceptional. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Their professionalism and warm demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience.

One of the highlights of our visit was the cocktails. Bhavesh, the bartender at Cocochill is truly skilled mixologists. Each cocktail was crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating these delightful drinks.

Went for brunch today after a tiring morning at sea.

Ordered jerk chicken tenders, grilled octopus, fish tartar, marlin pizza and some chips.

Jerk chicken was pipin hot, juicy and tangy just as intended.

The star of the show was the grilled octopus which was served with grilled veggies and a sort of fresh salsa.

The fish tartar i didnt enjoy soo much due to the fact that it had a strong fishy taste. I enquired which fish they use and was told it was dorade which is why it probably tasted fishy.

Marlin pizza was spot on since this wasnt an italian place i had low expectations for the pizza but it was actually very good pizza.

Wife had the idea to order some more octopus, the butchers piece, mauritian burger and mac & cheese.

One friendly piece of advice for mac & cheese, elbow or shell pasta would do much better than fusili pasta.

Great spot, great and friendly staff. Definitely will come again more and more times.
