Amazing location close to the malecon. The rooms are very basic but serviceable. The beds are hard, which I don't mind. I've stayed here a couple of times. There was hot water both times, but it wasn't quick to arrive at the shower head. The rooms were clean, though the concrete was a bit stained in places creating the illusion that it wasn't as clean as it was.
Your enjoyment of this place would depend on which kind of traveller you are. For the backpacker with low expectations and a small budget it would be brilliant. For the one or two week fly in vacationer it would not be acceptable. For me it was just fine.
Parking is on the street. In La Paz, like much of Mexico, you need to park in the spots with white paint to avoid getting a ticket. This is a busy area of town but after 6pm most nights it isn't too hard to find parking. There is also secure pay parking within a...
Read more#Uncomfortable, #hard to sleep and felt a bit #uneasy on my safety. No TV to watch which is good because the walls are paper thin. No window glass only slanted wooden blinds. It let's the cool air in but also the mosquitos. No air conditioning but have ceiling fan. When it comes time to take shower did you pick up your little towel at front desk? If so turn the water handle and hope hot water comes out. The shower head was broken and sprayed everywhere. No light in bathroom and only one light in main room which was dim. The blanket was thin hard to keep warm from the cool air coming in. I checked for bed bugs & I'm happy to say no bed bugs. I was talking on phone and received a pounding at my door. There are no peep holes or let alone door knobs. Apparently my conversation on the phone was too loud. No water given. The value is good for the location but the quality is far below...
Read moreUpdate: the internet has been down for over 24 hours and the management refuses to do anything to fix the situation. Plus there is no TV in the room, so you literally stuck without entertainment. So I reduced my intitial score of 3 to a 1. Low price, private bathroom and good location was the initial attraction. The room interior is rough to say the least, with dingy paint, hard mattresses and bad smells coming from the bathroom drains. Also, no air conditioning. But the shower water is hot, the WiFi speed is very good, and did I mention the cheap price? If you're looking for more privacy than a hostel at the same price point, then this is a good place to rest...
