Motel Reno was a good budget option for visiting Tijuana. The room was a good size, beds were comfy, and the shower was hot. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was good.
For beds, mattresses were great. Pillows were meh.
For light at night, it wasn't great. There are two uncovered windows in the bathroom and sink, and the blind on the big window is not blackout. If that's a big issue, you have to creatively cover at least the little ones.
Mini-fridge and microwave were fine. The microwave is pretty small.
For sound, there is some road sound since you're right on a highway, but it's not terrible. Still, when a loud car comes by, it can wake you up. I use a sound machine to drown it out.
That bathroom was plenty big and shower was good. You get shampoo and a bar of soap. In our room the shower leaked, so we stopped it up with a towel.
There is no in room coffee, water or tea. You can get coffee from the small lobby.
The breakfast option is a nearby restaurant. Food was great and there many options for the free meal. You can also opt to pay more for other food at the place.
All staff, cleaners and food people were very kind. The best part of the place was the staff.
And, of course, it's cheap for being near downtown. We were able to walk to all kinds of good food, the cultural center and aquarium, and the dentist we were visiting. It's also in a good spot to scoot out of town and head to the Rosarito beach. It's much faster to come and go than the more expensive hotels a half a mile north and...
Read moreI have stayed in this hotel 3 times, so overall the price is good for what you get. There are things that can be improved, don’t expect people being nice at the reception, they do their job and do not go any further. Expect being called 20-15 minutes before checkout as they kind of have an obsession about you getting out before or exactly at checkout time so take that into account, they will hunt you every minute after 12:00!!! The rooms are ok, recently renovated they are good for what you pay. Bathroom is tiny, there is no way to have a shower without getting the floor wet. The tempered glass is too small, it has no door, and they should have curtains to avoid getting all the floor wet. There are times the water heater stops working and then heats again, don’t understand what happens but you don’t get constant hot water. I talked to the administrator about it and it got fixed for a couple of days but then it did it again. Towels smell clean! They give you soap and shampoo, the microwave oven is new and works great, the small refrigerator is also new and works great also. In short, this is a good hotel for the price. The location is very good. This last stay was for 8 nights so I have gotten to know this hotel very well. I will be back because it is a good value, the rooms are good, they have always been clean, the cleaning lady is very nice, the location is...

He pulled them out of his pocket and gave them Back to me after having to ask multiple time. He is clearly stealing from hardworking maids. He wanted 57 dollars for stains on towels I told him I’m not paying . Funny cause my deposit was 60 . Dlls . At the end he said ok just give me 200 pesos . And that’s exactly what I gave him . When I called to complain the manager said they charge 100 pesos per stain towels . 100 pesos and that employee was asking for more than 1000 pesos . 57 dollars and also stealing from maids . The picture of guy is in the bottom he wanted to take advantage of me probably cause it was 1 am and no other...
