Beyond the location and free parking being nice points, forget this place unless you want to waste money and enjoy being talked to rudely. The hotel room is very dark even with all of the lights on. The water from the shower comes out as a slow sprinkle (not a rain shower!). DIrt on the floor, especially corners, I would expect such at a homless shelter. They give one exceptionally thin and stained towel per guest, no wash cloths (though hygine being a value, I probably would not have used it). I have never encountered ruder and non-service oriented staff in any business, let alone a hotel. After we paid cash for 2 nights upon check in and knowingly had to wait a half-hour for the room to be ready, when it came time to receive our key fob, a changeover in front counter staff resulted in some gruff clown (tall bearded guy) insisting that we only paid for one-night. He backed off after I showed him our receipt, without an apology of course. Was he going to keep the $ for himself??? We discovered the next day that this same character only programmed the fob to work the 1st night. When I apprached him the next day, he denied such and rudely said it was my fault because "no one" ever puts fobs in their wallet or purse because other credit cards will de program them -- something that has never happended to me over decades. A cafeteria adult busboy was extremely rude with a lecture to my wife at sit down while I was filling my plate that we should not waste food that comes with the free breakfast. He and another adult busboy incorreclty assumed we do not speak Spanish as we heard them saying that they expected we were going to steal food from the breakfast buffet to eat for lunch. We also heard a busboy tell a cusotmer that he could not take a cup of coffee up to his room, rather he would have to go down the street to a convenience store for coffee in a paper cup. My question is who hired these people with inept social skills? We will never again set foot in any Express Hotel. Marriott needs to drop them as a...

My partner and I traveled to this hotel on Labor Day weekend 2024, for 1 night and had the following negative experiences. (1) Upon arriving in the parking lot, the parking lot attendant informed my partner and I that the parking lot was full, even though we had prepaid reservations. Upon driving in the lot and underground parking garage several times, we found a spot behind a vehicle that was then boxed in by our vehicle. The parking lot attendant stated that they would call our room and request us to come to the garage at any given time, if the vehicle in front of ours needed to move. (2) We arrived to the lobby around 10:00 pm and ended up in a line of people to check in. There was only one Receptionist. Although he was courteous and professional, there were too many people for just one employee to process in a reasonable time, as evidenced by us not receiving our room until around 11:30 pm. People were tired and frustrated, kids were crying, people were complaining, and some folks had to walk a block to the hotel, after parking on random streets where their cars were unsecure. (3) Our room wasn't the cleanest, as evidenced by sticky table tops, hair in the tub, stains on walls, and dirty furniture. (4) Continental breakfast was included in the price, but for the buffet, which only had beans, chicken stir fry, and an omelette, $30.00 seemed unreasonably priced. Additionally, there was not enough seating for guests. (5) Check out was too early (10:00 am), with no exceptions for a later check out. We chose this hotel because it has a pet friendly policy and we were traveling with our maltipoo. Although this hotel is a nice and modern building, it is seemingly managed extremely poorly. We definitely would have expected better from a Marriott Brand hotel and will not...

Mainly i stay here if im on budget or my other hotel is sold out ||i would rate this 3.5 stars ...all employees were nice for the most part.. I stated 2 nights one in a single and the other in a double...||I understand the concept for a single room from abuisness stand point and for buisness people traveleing.. But for friends or couple way to small..even for a single person i thought it was way to small it was like living in a shoebox..just not enough space at all and did not like the bathroom set up.. I understand the concept...but i can agree to disagee..lol||Now the second night i moved to a the double much spacier and space to move room bathroom set up was better.. I rember the first time it came with toothbrush and toothpaste this time it did not and i like how the doubles were city view...yes i like how they have in room safes to put your valubles.. I also like if your a member you can check early and late checkout if avaible and there was breakfast in the morning and snack at night and they had a free shuttle that goes in 5 mile radius||Ok.. If they had refridgerators in the rooms i would proably stay there more.. Yes i know they have them in the suites but those our sold out a lot..||If i can make a recommadation... Maybr you can put some refridgerators in some rooms th|e double room at least and call it double room plus have it more than the regular double less than suites. Or have them on request like buy 5 or 10 mini ones and if someone request ||Would i stay here again |Yes i would but just a few things stop me from being a constant regular.. It is a good...

This was a 3 night stay I had with a friend. The location is nice and the rooms are clean. Plenty of parking with a security guard. Staff is friendly. Housekeeping is on top of things. Beds are comfy. Only weird thing is that the entrance to the lobby isn't where the front desk is, you have to go upstairs. I just have 2 complaints of the room. 1. There is a bright security light system for the parking lot that shines right into the room. We had to completely close the blackout curtain which stopped the light. But I personally like to have the blinds partially open so sunlight wakes me up naturally. 2. There is a mirror in the room that basically reflects the bathroom. We had a twin bed room and from my bed I can see the mirror and see everything going on in the bathroom. If you're traveling solo or are a couple this probably isn't a big deal. But since I was with a friend, we wanted privacy. The bathroom doors are frosted glass with clear lines so not the best privacy.

Title: Outstanding Service at City Express Plus by Marriott Tijuana Juan Carlos and the staff at City Express Plus by Marriott Tijuana provided the best experience! The front desk team was incredibly helpful, nice, and spoke English fluently. I was working long hours, and they thoughtfully brought a HUGE pot of coffee to my room. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was unparalleled. Even the shuttle driver was cheerful and engaging. We talked about cars and junkyards on the way to New City, and he shared interesting facts about Tijuana as he drove me to my dentist appointment. Don't miss out on this little gem! It was so quite my friend and i woke up 3 hours late for a Denist appointment lol. The only thing it's missing is a rooftop pool, but thank you for having English TV shows and CNN in English. Great touch!

My usual place down the street was booked up. I needed to stay here. The rooms are basic which is fine for me. Clean. The shower water in the morning was cold. The towels are not soft. Only one treadmill was working in the gym. No gym towels provided. The breakfast is very basic. Cold cereal, bread and fruit. No meat, no egg. The hotel staff friendly and helpful. Not a bad place if you do not mind the lack of amenities and have no other options.
