We deeply regret purchasing this timeshare. What seemed like a dream opportunity has turned into a nightmare. We were pressured into signing during a high-pressure sales meeting that lasted 3-4 hours, with promises that we could sell the property anytime, make a profit, and travel anywhere at discounted rates. None of this turned out to be true. Cancellation is impossible—despite our repeated attempts to cancel, they refuse to let us out of the contract. We were given false promises, told we could rent out the property or make monthly income, but this was never specified in the contract, and we didn’t even get a chance to fully read the contract before being pressured to sign. Financially, we’re overwhelmed. We took out a loan to pay for the timeshare, and now the money is gone. The maintenance fees keep increasing every year, and we’re struggling to keep up. There’s no return on investment either. We tried renting out the property, but it never gets rented, and we even tried selling it back to them three times, but they refused. This financial burden has caused significant stress, mental health issues, and even contributed to a car wreck, impacting our family deeply. We could have used the money for amazing vacations or invested it elsewhere, but instead, we’re stuck with this timeshare that’s a complete waste of money. We’ve learned our lesson the hard way. If you’re considering buying a timeshare, don’t do it. It’s not worth the financial and...
Read moreThe resort we stayed at was great, this company...meh. I wasn't going to buy into a time share although at the very end they offered me a stay in Cancun, a 1 week world destination of my choice, and a package for 2 to Costa Rica for $1500. My theory of too good to be true was probably right.
Also, just be aware of their employees at all times. They will do anything to earn a buck and DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! Our guy Derrick offered to "hook us up" with a little bit cheaper of a trip to Isla Mujeres. He pitched to be a local and had a buddy who ran a company offering the catamaran ride across. The next day I said sure seemed like a cool idea. I should have known after the long response time and pressure to give a quick deposit. I gave him $40 to "hold our spot" and then rest would be paid when we got to the other sister resort. We'll after I gave him the money he never sent me a reservation confirmation and gave me a bunch of excuses never giving me my money back. Just go through the front desk. Use my experience as a learning lesson.
I spoke to the manager on site but who knows if they give a care in the world. Probably part of the "business moto" scam whatever you can.
This is NOT a review for the hotel as it was awesome with GREAT staff. The Sunset World name, after that experience believe me, I won't vacation again under...
Read moreA friend wanted our families to go together for a trip to Sunset World next summer .Since i did not understand the package, she got someone from Sunset world to reach out to me. Well the discussion did not go well, as this guy named Pastor, literally wanted me to sign up right away and said i had wasted his time making him download a promo code and I should have told him not to download a code. I was taken aback because i only needed information to decide if our family would be spending time with them and needed time to discuss with my husband. This guy was full blown upset that i was not committing right away and insisting that i get my husband on the phone to consent right away. He also mentioned he was helping me with this great deal and i told him plainly, i do not need his help. Well, I definitely won't be coming here especially with the negative reviews i have already read and the terrible customer...
