This small family-owned hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from Mercado Hidalgo and 5 minutes from la alondiga. Go in the opposite direction and it's about 7 minute walk to el museo de las momias. It is affordable and right across the bus stop, which for $5-6 pesos takes you to any of the other sights located in the historic center. I always opt to do like the locals and do the buses (camiones) rather than the taxis. A 5 min taxi ride will cost you $40-50 pesos. ||This place is safe and always has a night guard and gets locked at night. There are several options, you can rent a room and share a common bathroom, or rent a room with a private bathroom. The rooms and decor are very simple, but they are clean and quiet. If you get a room with a private bathroom, you will probably be staying at the top in the balcony and the views are breathtaking and full of color. One word of advice, this town is built on hills. To get to this hotel, you do need to enter a street with steps, if you're young, you'll do fine. Read moreThis place has maybe 10 rooms. The rooms are very small. You wouldn't want to hang out or spend time in them except to sleep or bathe. The staff is very friendly and the location is great, just a short walk from all the action in Guanajuato. There is a rooftop terrace that has a very nice view and a few bench swings to relax on.||||The rooms are kept clean and, all in all, we had a pleasant experience here.
