This market has a rich historical vibe—it’s actually built inside an old train station, and the architecture is absolutely stunning. There are some surprising Japanese elements mixed in too, which makes it feel even more unique.
The market is now home to a bunch of restaurants, and it’s really common to see locals just sitting outside the eateries, eating casually. I really wanted to join them, but I don’t speak Spanish and wasn’t sure how to order 😅
Inside, the market isn’t super crowded—actually a bit quieter than other markets—and there are quite a few flies around, which can be a little off-putting. I ended up buying some spices, but wow… the prices were crazy high. Total spice assassin vibes 😂

⚠️ Just a heads-up: always double-check prices before paying. If there’s a price tag on the item, make sure the final amount matches when you’re paying. Best to use your phone calculator just to be sure.
