Generally speaking, every hotel and location has its pros and cons depending on your interests and lifestyle. The expansive view from our hotel room 24/7 of the bay never ceases to bore me and more than makes up for any minor issues.|| From your room, you can see all the way to Punta Mita, see whale fins pop out of the water from December to March, watch and hear the nightly fireworks show from the pirate ship that parks in front of the famous Malecon(boardwalk), and best of all are the ever-changing sunsets!!||Though the hotel is about 50 years old and it needs a bit of a face-lift, it showcases typical Mexican architecture with its airy lobby and spacious parking lot. The pool also gives you a view of the bay and is properly maintained. Since the hotel is perched on the hill about 4 blocks from the Malecon be prepared for the garden walk up the steps. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Malecon and 7 back up. |Enjoy the spectacular views from the hotels Panorama restaurant which is fine dining at its best.||Best of all is the staff. Dont forget we are in Mexico so dont expect everyone to speak English. But there are enough staff workers Andrea the receptionist who speak very good English. Sabino the manager has been so helpful. ||I am writing such a 5 star review because i will have stayed here 5 months and the staff have bent over backwards to help me with repairing my bicycle, providing references to open a bank account, fixed little things when requested, provided photo copies AND have been my translator on the phone when needed.||Lastly, the room rates are far cheaper than many hotels including their monthly rates.|I recommend staying at Hotel...

Large airy rooms and a complete kitchen with a gorgeous view and a nice lcd television, the water pressure was great!!I felt comfortable and safe throughout my 8 night stay, the staff is the best! the guy at the desk in the afternoon/evenings is very helpful and so very kind! the lovation is on a hill and there is some steps going up but that was not a problem for me,I am in my mid-50s and in OK shape and I was able to go up and down from the hotel to the Malecon seven or eight times a day,if you are wanting a fancy hotel with everything new then simply pass this place by. and go there,if you are looking for a reasonable priced and functional Hotel in a great location with gracious staff in a authentic Mexican experience then this is for you! .....I appreciated Hotel La Siesta and I loved it for what it was,I would gladly return for...
Read moreYou are in the middle of downtown PV and the view is the awesome. If you need A/C, a soft bed, you cannot do steps, this is NOT a place for you, All uphill on the way back from malecon. Easy walk down to Malecon. The 1 Pool was clean and COOL. Staff is Tremendous, Jose was the star of the place. If you prefer a quiet location, be warned, the local dogs and cats are up until midnight and Clubs play EDM past that. Restaurant is good. The price was reasonable considering all the "factors". We actually had a great time. The staff assisted us with a better bed option and we love doing the local style stuff. Were both 55+. We have stayed at Vidanta, but this might be worth another stay if the owners payed more attention to the customer reviews. New beds would be a review...
