We decided to try for our last meal in Mexico before heading to the airport - BIG mistake! Bread arrived to the table and I thought I saw mold on a couple pieces but after my boyfriend looked closer it was a piece of rubber Latex glove baked into the bread! We told the host and she grabbed it off the table and said “oh my god” then nothing.. no apology, no manager, and they didn’t even take away the bread plates with pieces on them. Next our food arrived wrong, we ordered cannelloni and a half Margarita half pepperoni and mushroom but got all pepperoni and mushrooms(uncooked) just thrown onto it. Our waiter never returned to our table to see if we need anything or how things were after taking the initial order. We paid the host, and left. Still no apology about the glove in the food... Myself and my boyfriend both got violently ill, projectile vomit and diarrhea with severe stomach cramping and fever from this food. Unfortunately, it started on the plane and got progressively worse for 36 hours...Stay away from this place...
Read moreLa Dolce Vita is an Italian restaurant on the malecon of Puerto Vallarta. The food is very authentic. I had the pizza with sausage and mushrooms. Stan had spaghetti with shrimp and mushrooms. Both dishes were very good. I checked out the different plates that were brought to other tables. Every one of the plates of food were big portions and looked amazing. We liked that our waiters were very attentive and met our needs and were friendly. The restaurant is extremely clean; so clean that it has been the cleanest bathroom we have been in out of all our trips. The restaurant has a warm, rich look to it with it's beautiful woodwork. I loved the staircase. Sitting outside on the patio talking, eating, and watching the people walk by on the malecon was so relaxing. Afterwards we walked about 70ft to sit on the ledge of the malecon watching the tide come in while waiting for the sun to set. There isn't a thing that I could say that would be a negative. I highly recommend La Dolce Vita and we will definitely...
Read moreSat down with my wife enjoyed our appetizer, then when our dinner was served my wife opened her Diet Coke and told the waiter it tasted flat or stale and asked for a another one. He proceeds to leave and bring back his "Capitan" who rudely and condescendingly asks my wife what the issue is. She tells him, then he proceeds to go get a glass and poor the Coke into it on front of us and holds it up for inspection, then says it looks good to me and disappears into the restaurant. I demanded he come back and apologize to my wife for the way he handled the situation. Instead of giving the waiter another Diet Coke he chose to come to our table and confront my wife about the "issue". I gave them all a piece of my mind and we left. I've never been to a restaurant that acted like we were pulling a scam over a can of Diet Coke. They were all extremely rude. We are property owners in PV and I'm Italian so they chased away what would have been regular customers. I'll never spend...
