Can’t say enough about this place.
1). We went at 2:30 in the afternoon - not busy at all - with a 3 year old and a 5 year old.
2). Chef came out, introduced himself, talked with our kids, and we told him the kids don’t like any spice but love seafood. He made a special seafood pasta in a cream sauce for them (wasn’t on the menu) that was to die for. Both the kids were in heaven and the wife and I tried it and it was amazing.
we started with a Peruvian fish ceviche that was knock your socks off delicious. We also had a potato appetizer that was also very tasty (didn’t compare to the ceviche … but I mean how can you compare the two).
we had the mussels that were delicious - very good - highly recommend. Similar to raw oysters but cooked mussels - topped with delicious flavours.
we had a tenderloin stir fry in an amazing sauce. Whenever I see steak in a stir fry I get turned off as usually the steak is over cooked - but we went with it based on the chefs recommendation- and it was amazing. Cooked perfect - not what I expected it was a steak in the sauce with vegetables and potatoes - not little pieces of steak but 4 big chunks of steak not overdone - rare to medium rare, tender, juicy, flavourful sauce - simply Devine
All in all - I recommend as was the best food we had and the best experience we had in puerto Vallarta...
Read moreThe chef, an impressive 70 years old but looking no more than 60—perhaps thanks to a lifetime of surfing—has spent 50 years perfecting his craft. Originally from Peru, he has called Mexico home for the past 30 years, after working in top kitchens across New York, Tokyo, Europe, and beyond for two decades.
Committed to quality, he uses only the freshest ingredients—nothing frozen. As the sole chef, he prepares each dish in full view, with a live kitchen feed displayed on large monitors throughout the restaurant. He owns the building, lives upstairs (he even gave us a tour of his place), and offers two private dining rooms for intimate groups of eight.
The food? Outstanding. The Peruvian ceviche was spicy, unique, and absolutely superb. The fresh, large seabass with wok vegetables came with an unbelievably flavorful sauce. The steak, paired with fresh vegetables, was another standout dish.
The ambiance is just as impressive, with authentic Peruvian decor and a massive, beautifully painted mural adorning the exterior wall. A truly remarkable find—though I grudgingly have to give credit to a friend for the recommendation.

Read moreThis is one of the best places I have been to for dinner in PV. As other reviews have said, the chef was there to chat with us, explain the food and how to get the perfect bite. It is fun to watch him make magic in the kitchen on the tv in the dining room. The place is decorated beautifully and has great ambiance.
We started with the ceviche, which my friend ate due to the encouragement of chef Fernando although she does not eat “raw” fish. She was so surprised by how much she loved it. It was so good, my mouth is watering thinking about it. Of course we also had pie I sours for the first time and tasty tasty tasty! A new restaurant it town we went to later in the week has a knock off version because it is such a hit, which is rude but also indicative of how good this place is.
I had the fish filet with all the creatures of the sea. It was just amazing. Such a variety of delicious veggies and the sauce… the sauce will be in my dreams until I can eat here again. We both barely talked the whole time we were so focused on how good it all was. We were so stuffed by the end of it we had to go lay down when we got home.
We will definitely be returning here every time we come back to PV. Overall...
