Nestled atop a hill overlooking the Bay of Banderas, El Panarama Restaurant and Bar prides itself on fine dining experiences, offering personalized chef services and exquisite cocktails. Upon entry, a less than impressive elevator ride was quickly forgotten when we stepped into the elegant setting replete with hardwood and white linens.
Ratings Ambience: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Quality of Food: 2/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience The restaurant was quiet and traditional, with hardwood and white linen decor. The atmosphere is suitable for families, couples, and business meetings alike.
Price Expect to spend between 800 and 1500 MXN for a meal for two, including drinks. While the setting is agreeable, the value for the price could be better.
Quality of Food The menu offers variety but leaves something to be desired in execution. Signature dishes like tableside Caesar Salad and Châteaubriand failed to impress, given their price tags. The cocktails were similarly disappointing.
Service The service was adequate, but the repetitive request for cash tips marred the experience.
Additional Factors Getting to the restaurant can be a bit of a chore due to misdirection from Google Maps and a steep hill to climb. However, parking is available, and the views are a definite highlight.
Conclusion El Panarama offers a memorable setting with stunning ocean views and a gentle breeze to make your meal enjoyable. If these factors are your primary dining motivators, and you're willing to overlook some flaws in food quality and service, then it's...
Read moreSome of the worst service we have ever received and as an avid foodie that is saying a lot...just check my other 175 reviews almost every single one is 5 stars. First, waiters choose which tables they want to focus on based on percieved tip they'll receive....apparently we ranked low on that scale that night. We had to ask for literally everything...where are our drinks?..where is out appetizer?...where is our food?...can we have silverware?...ok, we still need silverware and our food is now cold...the answer is always 5 more minutes as we watched other tables receive food, drinks, bread, etc well before us even though the had ordered/asked well after us. The table side preparation was a cool idea but the "chef" never interacted with us at all and looked so bored it was almost comical. He literally walked away to talk to another table multiple times and as a result overcooked our shrimp ... Finally....Can we get the check?...20 mins later...still waiting on the check with empty glasses and plates on the table...we literally had to get up and walk to the elevator and have the server finally settle the check standing next to the exit. Gratuity is included by the way. Might as well have flushed $100 down the toilet. I will never waste my money agian...so many other places to eat with great views that actually care about...
Read more100% come here if you're in Puerto Vallarta!!! You will NOT be disappointed! The views can't be beat by anything other than the service!
We loved everything about this restaurant! The terrace was a perfect spot to start the evening and enjoy a sunset cocktail while getting the best pictures imaginable from any direction you look. After soaking in the beauty of Vallarta from the roof you can head down to the dining area that has floor to ceiling windows all the way around that open up to the city. Any table has a wonderful view.
The menu was nicely laid out with multiple options to choose from for your protein. I would recommend the Lobster Perdon! It was perfectly prepared tableside and a joy to watch. Our server and his son were taking care of us and I can't say we've had better service anywhere else in Puerto Vallarta. They were amazing.
