Trocadero — Hotel in Jalisco

We stayed here for three nights on first arriving in Guadalajara. Although on a fairly main ‘calle’ - Lopez Cotilla - and being subjected a fair amount of road noise in the form of trucks - overall, the suites were very good value. We stayed in number 24, on the road side of the garden and away from the bar next door of which, despite being in there moments before with the music up quite loud, we could hear nothing from our room. The room itself was very rustic, clean and comfortable.||||The hotel is situated in what we thought was a pretty good part of a very good city. Lots of bars and restaurants, shops, parks and plazas with very walkable back streets. It felt very safe and hospitable like most of the Mexico we have seen so far. You can easily walk into El Centro in 30 minutes if not less.||||The only two annoyances which would be easy to fix: 1) there is no notice on the gate advising guests that they are required to check-in at the sister Hotel Villa Ganz about a 20 minute walk down the road (and which we’d just passed in our taxi) and 2) the maintenance staff tend to start work quite early (for holiday-makers, anyway) - before 9am - which can be a bit off-putting if you’re jet-lagged or want a sleep-in.||||We moved from The Trocadero to The Villa Ganz, not because of any dissatisfaction with “The Troc” but because we’d promised ourselves a treat after a lot of hard work. This is a quaint, cozy, clean and comfortable apartment with private entrance on a moderately quiet street in a comfortable, central neighbourhood, equipped with all the basics for self-sufficient daily living on either a short or extended-stay basis. There are no 'extras' and it falls short of offering much luxury but it offers privacy and is well managed/maintained, secure, safe, and has all the basics. The management (Hotel Villa Ganz) is friendly and accommodating and it is good value...

Dia sabado 4/7/2018 9;27 am llame para hacer una reservacion y la persona encargada de responder el teleforno creo que de nombre ricardo si estoy correcto respondio el mi llamada y fue mucho muy grocero sin razon alguna y cuando pregunte por que sus precios eran altos me colgo la llamada sin razon alguna yo pienzo que gente como esa sin educacion deberia estar juntando latas o limpiando banos publicos ya que para servicio al cliente no sirve espero que los supervisores vean esto y se den cuenta que est persona no es la correcta para...
