El Cid Hotel — Hotel in Mérida

Not worth it. Far from the city center, there was never a spot for our car inside the parking lot eventhough parking was said to be included, the pool had been closed for weeks due to maintenance and we weren't informed until after we paid, no hot water (I don't mind, but it said it was included), sometimes no water at all, no towels, bed sheets stained with blood, the tv had a satellite cable box but none of the channels worked, the guy at the reception didn't even know where our room was so we had to figure it out ourselves after he misled us in the wrong direction 3 times, there is nothing close (no convenience store, no restaurants, no local food trucks), the area becomes very dangerous at night (we were the only people walking on the streets that were barely illuminated), some drunk men were smoking crack while sitting on the ground and leaning on the lobby's entrance wall meanwhile there was no one present in the lobby. On the good side, after they made us wait 20 minutes at check in because they couldn't find our reservation, they made a mistake in the room we had reserved which was sold out so they had no other choice but to upgrade us to a room with 2 double beds, not that it even mattered to us or made our experience better. Also, there is a restaurant which kitchen is basically in the hotel's parking lot. I really do not recommend you go there even if you're desperate. I have travelled a lot and have never since such huge and numerous cockroaches come out of the same place before. And I couldn't even start describing the smell that emerged...

Quiero expresar mi sentir y estoy muy decepcionado de las publicaciones el cual ponen fotos que son un hotel de calidad y las habitaciones confortables…… el día de ayer martes 22 de mayo, llegamos a Mérida después de un viaje de 13 horas. Es la primera vez que visitamos puebla. Nuestro objetivo era descansar… contacte ese hotel, ya que en varias opciones me dijeron que no tenían habitaciones disponibles, reverse dos habitaciones dobles, ya que venían niños y adultos…. Llegamos y me atendió un joven que entiendo es su trabajo, él no tiene la culpa, porque de ahí come, nos asignó la habitación 118 y 119, subimos nuestra cosas, y nuestra primera impresión fue… esto no se ve confortable, expresamos nuestro sentir, y que el clima no era suficiente y que estaba sucio, le dijimos que nos resolviera el asunto, que iríamos a comer y que cuando regresáramos esperaríamos una respuesta, solo dejamos nuestras maletas, no ocupamos las habitaciones asignadas en el momento. Pague la cantidad de $1980…. Regresamos de cenar y fui a checar las habitaciones, OLÍA A DRENAJE A HÚMEDO, EL CLIMA NO ERA SUFICIENTE, LOS PISOS MANCHADOS, EL COLCHÓN SUCIO, EL AGUA INSUFICIENTE, LA DISQUE ALBERCA SUCIA, SIN MANTENIMIENTO, PEDÍ MI REEMBOLSO NEGADO, QUE ELLOS SEGUIAN INSTRUCCIONES DE UNA JEFA QUE NO CONOCEN Y QUE SOLO SABEN QUE SE LLAMA FERNANDA LÓPEZ. EL CUAL DIO INSTRUCCIONES A LA RECEPCIONISTA QUE SI QUERÍA ME PASABAN A OTRO HOTEL LLAMADO GOBERNADORES Y QUE ME DARÍAN HABITACIÓNES SENCILLAS CON UNA CAMA. EL CUAL ME NEGUÉ Y LE DIJE QUE YO QUERÍA CAMAS DOBLES POR LOS ADULTOS Y NIÑOS… LA RECEPCIONISTA EMPEZÓ A HABLARLE PARA DECIRLE MI RESPUESTA Y YA NO LE CONTESTO, Y EN FIN DI POR PERDIDO MI DINERO Y MI TIEMPO.

Quiero hacer un llamado a todas las personas de Mérida Yucatán y todos los viajantes que buscan un lugar digno para descansar que NO SE HOSPEDEN EN ESTE LUGAR Y OJALÁ ALGUNA AUTORIDAD COMO COFEPRIS, SALUBRIDAD, SUPERVISE LAS HABITACIONES Y EN QUE CONDICIONES ESTÁ ESTE HOTEL, DEBERÍAN HASTA CLAUSURAR ESTE HOTEL QUE DESPRESTIGIA LA...

The hotel and rooms look nothing like the videos and pictures online. The pool was closed, hotel was not appealing at all. The first room we were sent to wasn’t ready. Then we went to room 253. The bed spreads were so faded and dingy we put them on the floor. Bug was hopping on the bed the minute the covers were pulled back. The sheets and mattress covers were dingy yellow.
