WONDERFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN BEAUTIFUL MERIDA! I just finished a 5-night stay at this wonderful, cozy, yet stylish boutique hotel and I am still raving about my experience! Hotel Boutique Real San Juan Center is a gem in Merida's Centro. Wonderful location with easy walking distance to all that there is to see and do on the Paseo Montejo - and there is A LOT to see and do! Shops, restaurants (so many restaurants), cafes, lounges, the Plaza Americana mall (which also happens to be an ADO bus location if you're taking the bus in from Cancun/Cancun airport), bus stops for the Merida City Bus tours, local eateries for traditional Yucatecan food (a must!), museums, parks -- even a WalMart if you're into that kind of thing! And for other places around the city center - you're just a short Uber/taxi ride away. The Hotel's location is also a great base from which to access other areas and sights in/around the Yucatan for day trips (i.e, the beaches in Progreso/Chelem, the Mayan ruins of Dzibilchaltun, Chichen Itza, the pueblos magicos of Izamal and Valladolid, etc). But what made my trip to Merida "tan perfecto" was my stay at this hotel. The staff were beyond friendly and professional, they welcomed me like family and treated me the same all throughout my stay. Anything I needed, any questions I had, any help with things I wanted to see and do around the city they were there not only to help but to also make specific recommendations and to ensure I was successful in my quests. Donny, the manager, is absolutely wonderful and his professionalism, friendliness, attention to detail and to meeting the needs of the hotel's guests is reflected in the way all the hotel staff engaged with me. It happened to be Restaurant Week in Merida while I was there so I got to enjoy some great 3-course meals at the hotel's restaurant (whether on Restaurant Week or not - the restaurant's huevos motulenos - typical Yucatecan meal - is wonderful! You must try it!). The hotel rooms are very well-appointed, contemporary in design and cleaned and well-serviced each and every day. After a long day of sightseeing under the beautiful (yet hot) Merida sun, it was a joy to always come back to my room already cleaned and serviced for the day. The rooms have air conditioning and hair dryers and you're provided with lush robes and slippers as well (be sure to enjoy the hotel's steam bath during your stay - it is brilliant!!). The king-size beds are incredibly comfortable - I had a great night's sleep all 5-nights! The Hotel itself is located on a quiet street so after the hustle and bustle of your day in and around the city - it is wonderful to come back and enjoy a great night's sleep. I highly recommend Hotel Boutique Real San Juan Center for your next stay in Merida - you will not be disappointed! Al equipo del hotel: Muchisimas gracias por una maravillosa estancia en su hotel. No puedo...

This was one of the most horrible experience in any hotel I ever stayed all over the World !||1) Price is almost close to good hotels in the locality like Marriott or Holiday Inn or Fiesta Americana, but actually a budget hotel.|2) Money was non-refundable and so you cannot cancel booking and change to another.|3) Only a few staffs speak English.|4) No refrigerator in the room, No elevator.|5) Constant disturbance of compressor or pump cutting in and cutting off.|6) No lift/elevator, you need to take the stairs, even with your luggage|7) The breakfast included is a hoax because they will wait till you start taking food from the buffet, and once you take a few items on your plate, they will come and tell you that you need to pay extra because the “breakfast included” in your Expedia booking only qualifies for a continental breakfast (2 slices of bread, some Cornflakes with Yogurt, fruits and coffee), not for the buffet. Now that you have taken some food from the buffet, there is no other way but to pay for it. And they don’t tell you this politely!|8) Staff behaviour (especially the girl in the front desk, one of the only couple of people speaking English here).|9) They claim to have massage spa but when you book, they hire masseurs from outside and provide below average quality massage in your room and charges appx 40-50% higher than the actual masseur charges.|10) It’s a primitive budget hotel and overpriced for its standards!|Never ever I can imagine staying here nor I would suggest to anyone.|Horrible...
