EDITED: I’ve been a regular at this restaurant since August 2024, and I’m updating my review as of March 1, 2025.

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant, but unfortunately, their customer service has gone downhill. Lately, they’ve been slow to bring menus—sometimes you have to ask for them—and they often forget to bring the salsas that usually come with the meal.

On our last visit, a different waiter (not our usual one) took our order. He didn’t ask what type of tortilla we preferred—corn or flour—and barely acknowledged us. When he brought our food, we noticed there was no salsa on the table, so we asked him for it. After waiting, we had to ask again before he finally brought it. He never checked in to see if we needed anything else—no follow-up for drinks, additional food, or even the bill. We had to get another waiter’s attention just to pay.

When it came time to tip, he asked if we wanted to leave one, but given the terrible service, we declined. He was clearly upset, avoiding eye contact and practically throwing the receipt at us. His attitude was unprofessional and rude.

While the food is still great, after receiving bad service three times in a row, we’ve decided not to return. It’s disappointing because this used to be my go-to spot for tacos. The atmosphere is nice, the servers used to be fast and efficient, the food was always served quickly, and the flavors were amazing at affordable prices. Plus, they’re pet-friendly.

Unfortunately, good food isn’t enough to make up for poor service. I can’t...

La Exquina 🌮🍴

La Exquina is a fantastic taco spot with a charming atmosphere and a focus on their stellar tacos. The setting is pleasant, but it’s the tacos that truly stand out. We tried the pollo, chuleta, and chuleta con queso, and each was seasoned to perfection with vibrant flavors. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing. 🌟

A special treat is the mini food truck at the corner, serving marquesitas—a crispy, crepe-like dessert that adds a unique and delightful twist to your meal. The restaurant allows you to buy these from the truck and enjoy them inside, which is a great touch. 🍬🚚

The service at La Exquina is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. For a more enjoyable meal, I recommend dining outside where you can soak up the atmosphere. 🌳

Overall, La Exquina offers delicious tacos and a great ambiance. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in...

I went to visit my mom in Mexico and I found this restaurant! To be honest merida looks very expensive because of the tourist people! And I wasn’t mistaken. The restaurant nothing special! But the food 8 from 9. Tasty and fast! The service was 8 from 10! Environment not that perfect! There is several people going to put American music for you to see them sweating and without shirts dancing! Very loud and not pleasant. Definitely if I come back I will be eating again. Just one thing. The prices are little bit expensive for the quantity. But it’s fine I guess is a touristic...
