If you are looking for inexpensive this is the place. Instead of a “pod” at the airport ($40 + dlls. Or $740 pesos or more depending how much time is needed) opted for guest house style room for one night. So much more comfortable and inexpensive. ($550 pesos or $29.72 dlls. ) Free wifi, communal kitchen available, free tea and coffee. No televisions. I compare this to a hostel - you have to share the restroom. But a lot more privacy. The room is very clean and comfortable except the super duper, excessive air freshener smell used on the bed. If you have a sensitive nose… this is definitively NOT the place for you. I fixed the problem by putting the extra blanket (with no smell) on top of everything and asked for another blanket. I don’t have a car, but just like in other places parking is extra. Park on the street if you don’t mind. I gave them 3 stars because the noise rule (Quiet 9 pm - 9 am) seems to only apply to guests. I understand the guest leaving at early hours and the rolling of suit cases, but employees yelling at each other asking for “bitacoras” and laughing extremely loud starting at 6:am is just not tight. I came out and asked it if only applied to the guests. I only slept 4 hours. One las thing, they have lockers for rent $100 per day. A rental gives you access to clean restroom and comunal space in the...
Read moreThis place was… fine. Budget location which is fine. Private rooms do not have bathrooms - bathroom and showers are shared and a had a grotty vibe even though the whole place was clean. Rooms are tiny but comfortable. Parking is extra so just park on the street. Overall not terrible but it wasn’t great. I’d recommend more upfront advertising about the parking fees and that the private rooms do not come with bathrooms. I didn’t mind too much and likely would have stayed anyway for the price, but if you’re going to go into detail about the size of the bed when I call to reserve, you could also mention that the bathrooms are shared. I don’t not recommend staying here, just be aware of what you’re signing up for - more a hostel than a hotel. (Yes, I know, technically a casita.) If you want a cheap hostel right next to the airport then this is for you. Beds were comfy which was great, and I slept well. Good service...
Read moreIf your flight arrives late or leaves early, I can't recommend this place highly enough. A cozy spot with charm and style. 10 minutes walk from the airport (if you don't get lost!) I believe it's the overpass near exit 8 that takes you down to Matilde Marquez. Two blocks up that street, around the corner, and you're home. Maybe I was zonked out, but I barely noticed any noise from the airport. There's a full proper kitchen, living room, a nice courtyard, and lots of street eats just outside the gate. The 24 hour front desk was greatly appreciated during my late arrival. Note this is not the Hilton or Sofitel. This is an older house- so if a cracked tile or dripping tap bothers you, Move on. But if all you need is a cozy place to crash with a bit of character, You...
