It’s been 1.5yrs since my life changed after eating at this restaurant. To be exact, since January 2,2019. I don’t like leaving this kind of reviews but after all that I have been going through I think people should know this... This restaurant was the last one I visited before taking my flight back to US and I noticed I felt stomach pain on the flight and I new I had caught a stomach bug... I was diagnosed with Helicobacter Pylori which is one of the worst bacteria that exists and that can lead to stomach cancer if not treated and even I took tons of meds and that endoscopes don’t show it anymore, today I still struggle with stomach and esophageal issues... my life changed completely after I eat that hamburger that was not fully cooked when I did ordered it well done but did not noticed it wasn’t fully cooked until I gave it a bit. I wish this restaurant can pay all of my medical bills and medicines plus all my international travels to see the specialist that is seeing me... I have lost 15 pounds and haven’t been able to recover since then... I can’t eat like a normal person today... I still don’t know if it was the meat or the water or what that I ate at this place, but all I know is that I was not given what I ordered and that probably there is lack of hygiene at this place... I am very picky when it comes to eat at a restaurant so I never thought this could happen at a “nice”...
Read moreLa Mansion at Mexico City's international airport is an absolute gem, proving that exceptional dining isn't just for city centers. Stepping inside, the elegant, wood-paneled interior and hushed atmosphere instantly transport you away from the typical airport hustle and bustle, creating a tranquil oasis perfect for unwinding before a flight. The live piano music is a delightful touch that further enhances the sophisticated ambiance. The culinary experience is the true highlight. The menu offers a refined selection of classic steakhouse cuts and traditional Mexican dishes, all executed with precision. I ordered the arrachera, and it was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, a tender and flavorful testament to their kitchen's skill. The accompanying sides, especially the creamy guacamole, were fresh and beautifully presented. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on making your visit a memorable one. Whether you have a long layover or just want to start your trip with a touch of class, La Mansion is the perfect choice. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a destination in itself. It elevates the pre-flight experience from a chore to a genuine pleasure, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone traveling through...
Read moreI don’t know what happened this last time on the 1st week of Dec. 2019, but I was disappointed in the quality of the food and attentiveness of the servers. It has been always been a treat to have a small dinner at La Mansión inside the Mexico City Airport whenever I’ve stayed at the Hilton Hotel during business trips, since it’s just a short walk between the two. I usually order two Tuétano tacos and a Tortilla soup, which used to be awesome... Unfortunately this last time they seemed to have changed their in house baked corn tortillas for what appeared to be a bland, hard and tasteless tortillas bought from a supermarket, in addition to the tuétano not being properly and fully grilled, neither served promptly. Salsas arrived late when I was almost done with my 2nd taco. Then the dessert, a “mil hojas” at the end was rather bland and seemed to have been in the fridge for quite a while. I truly hope they go back to their good old ways instead of cutting costs and lowering the quality of service by their waiters, since it’s such a convenient spot for original Mexican food when going through Terminal 1 at...
