I liked my stay clean, helpful and professional. Breakfast at the hotel is good. SEE MY FOODIE REVIEWS BELOW. They have a late checkout when available for a price. I was lucky and got mine until 6pm. Let them know as soon as you know you will need a late check out. Standards checkout is at noon and check in is after 2pm. Coffee/espresso machine in the lobby. Have fun in Mexico City !!
Oh my standard room did not have a mini refrigerator or microwave but did have a safe. The wow factor they had a bluetooth speakers with USB and standard outlets.
Please help the environment and keep room rates low if you don't mind keeping the same sheets place the card on the bed otherwise you get new sheets.
FOOD -included/free hotels breakfast During my stay they had cold cereal, pastries, toast in white and wheat. Plain scramble eggs, scramble eggs and ham, cut up hotdog meat, 2inch pancakes, a pasta that had some bell pepper/sweet peppers in a creamy sauce, black beans in liquid form almost like a soup but not whole black beans, they had chilaquiles which you should know that most included/free hotels breakfast restaurants / area will have this in green sauce (tomatillo/ green tomatoes) and red sauce. This day I only saw red sauce and it was pretty good. You can top it off with sour cream and crumbled cheese like a dry ricotta . My favorite was the fruit of papaya and watermelon. They had yogurt and granola to add in if you liked as well. Milk and orange juice is available aling with coffee.
ROOM SERVICE OR RESTAURANT I AM A PICKY EATER SO PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND I AM ALSO A FOODIE. I tried a slice of pepperoni pizza but it left me not wanting more after the second bite. It was colder when I had it so it should have been at its next best point of flavor, not the case. I tried a hamburger instead: Bun standard white bun with sesame seeds, warmed with mayo, . -The patty was normal but no real seasoning. I did remember to get the patty medium done. make sure you call out your meat preference.
One leaf lettuce and tomatoes with white onions, which was the same ingredient for the salad but with shredded iceberg lettuce.
LATTES AND COFFEE if you like creamer with your coffee you should bring it with you. The taste of powder orginal coffee mate is not always the best. The latte I had was not all that but, I drank most of it. If you want 7eleven in Chinatown has a coffee bar and its a few streets from the hotel and there is also a Starbucks in that area. So many Starbucks. When in chinatown get a sweet bun :)
Sweets and desserts Canned peaches and cream were very good. I am saying this with comparison with the raspberry cheesecake which I was super surprised that had a lime cheesecake base with raspberry sauce on top. I was not...
Read moreI stayed for 9 nights early to mid-November in a standard queen room. The hotel is in a fairly good location, I walked everywhere and Balderas metro station is a block away. The street the hotel is on has a lot of mechanic shops, hardware supply stores, things like that. So while it may not be a lively main street with tourist shops or restaurants, I certainly never felt unsafe even as a solo female traveller. The staff were great, very friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean, both in common areas and in the rooms. Free coffee is always available in the lobby. Everything is modern and well decorated. The bed is comfortable, the AC works well, and there is a safe in the room. The shower is large, water pressure and hot water were great the entire time. There was a water bottle refill station right outside my room. The breakfast was well done. Staples like eggs, breads, pastries, pancakes, yogurt, and fruit did not change, but the hot items did so it was great to have some variety each day, especially since my stay was fairly extended.||Now for the downsides. First, I was given a room on the ground floor, so while the room did technically have a window, it was heavily frosted over for privacy and had security bars for safety. This all meant zero daylight. I did not like having a room with essentially no window. Second, sound is definitely an issue. My room was located down a hall away from the main lobby, and I could clearly hear a baby on the other side of the hotel, on another floor, in their room with their doors closed. The design of the place echoes and sound carries very easily. I could also hear all street noise as if the window was wide open. Having said all of this, at night it was quiet, and I had no issues sleeping. But if you like to sleep in, you definitely cannot do that here. And third, the main downside was the extremely unreliable Wi-Fi. I had work to do throughout my stay and most days could not connect to do any of it. I had connections issues both in my room as well as in the lobby. This was extremely frustrating and considering the price I paid to stay here, certainly not acceptable.||As much as I wanted to like this hotel, I would not stay again. Considering the price, this hotel should at least have reliable wi-fi. Add in an essentially windowless room and sound issues and I don't recommend this hotel,...
Read moreThe place was in a good location to move around downtown. Lots of people walking all day.
Some days were a lot of noise coming from outside, not a big deal, we could sleep comfortable.
The place is really clean. They clean the bedrooms every day. They have breakfast buffet every day and its delicious (you have to make sure that its included in your reservation)
The bathrooms are clean and they always provide supplies if you need it.
But one big IMPORTANT thing to know is: the wifi was not working at all, its was super difficult every day to connect. Almost never even after calling reception! We were really really disappointed on that.
Comfortable bed. But nothing to watch on tv but the great amazing thing its that you can connect your phone to Bluetooth and play music in the bedroom! Its really cool! We loved that!
One block away from subway! 15 min away from chinatown! 30 min walking to “Zona Rosa” 40 min walking to “Roma” 5 min away from...
