We had dinner at Lizo, the Mexican restaurant at Finest Playa Mujeres, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The service was warm and attentive, and most of the food was flavorful and nicely presented.

For our son, we ordered the chicken alphabet soup, but it was far too salty and had to be returned. Thankfully, the kids’ quesadilla and fries were excellent — he really enjoyed that meal. We also ordered the chicken mole tacos, which were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The chicken mole entrée had good flavor as well, though it came with some leftover herb stems that could have been cleaned off. The fish entrée was tasty but had a few scales remaining, which was disappointing.

Dessert was a highlight — the churros were light and crispy, and the tres leches cake was soft, creamy, and perfectly sweet. Our son loved it.

Overall, Lizo offers great flavors and welcoming service, but could benefit from a bit more attention to preparation details to make the dining...

Gabriel was an amazing server! He recommended a Mexican Cabernet Sauvignon that was delicious for our meal—fruit forward, mint, and light tannins.

The meal was amazing! This is the high end Mexican food we don't get at home. You can't go wrong.

For appetizers we had: Torreon (queso fundido) Campeche (my favorite!) Sonora (beef chimichanga) Baja California (shrimp aguachile)

For Dinner we had: Tamaulipas (tampiquena and chicken enchilada mole) -Morelos (poblano pepper with beef, pomegranate, and pecan sauce)

For dessert we had: -queretaro (churros) Puebla (flan) Oaxaca (chocolate sponge cake) Maybe the best chocolate ice cream ever

Yes we were stuffed—but...

My visit to Lizo at Finest Playa Mujeres was good. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and tasteful décor.

The highlight of our experience was the impeccable service provided by our server, Gabriel. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel truly special. Gabriel went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, from recommending the best dishes on the menu to ensuring our glasses were never empty.

The food was flavorful, and beautifully presented.

If you’re visiting Finest Playa Mujeres, don’t miss the opportunity to dine here. And if you’re lucky enough to have Gabriel as your server, you’re in...

Hands down best restaurant and service in finest playa Mujeres. We had the best server - his name was Julio and the entire staff was super nice and efficient! That was 10/10. The whole staff was warm to one and all and did their best to give everybody a great experience! Every single item we got was delish. Right from chips salsa guacamole to soup to main dishes. Each item was tastefully prepared and delicious. We orders only from the plant based menu and we ate a LOT! We were trying to eat here for a while but they close wed and thu and the wait was worth it. Do not miss this restaurant. This is A+++ This is Mexican food at its best!!
