We loved our stay at Casa Aliz. There are a total of 9 rooms at this hotel. All are very nicely decorated and very well kept. There is a roof top dining area for complimentary breakfast and they also have a menu to order additional items for an additional fee. Chilaquiles con huevo was very good.||||We booked three rooms and they were able to keep us all very close together. We stayed in Room 9, with a balcony overlooking the garden and has a peek a boo view of the church. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We asked for a crib and they had a pack n play set up before we checked-in. ||||Arrival: It was hard to find at first. The entrance is not very distinct. They have a small sign at the door under a light but you wouldn't know it was a hotel if the door were closed. We had a ton of luggage that needed to be unloaded. The hotel is situated on a one-way street and it's a fairly high traffic street. Any loading and unloading will result in blocking traffic so we had to quickly disembark. If you arrive in a private car, there is a valet there to take your car as there is no parking nearby for self parking. There is no extra charge for parking.||||The man at the front desk helped us with our luggage to the second floor room. There is no elevator. My kids, 2 and 4yo, loved the hotel. Rooms 9 and Room 8 are somewhat separated from the other rooms. So if you are worried about your kids being loud, ask for one of these rooms. ||||There was only one hiccup in our stay. The hot water. Or lack of it... The hot water doesn't last very long so be prepared for a quick shower unless you want it cold. A/C in the room worked really well and operates via remote control. Fridge in the room was very nice to have. We kept milk cold for the kiddos. We didn't hear noise from the other rooms very much. There are church bells at night but they didn't keep us up at all. They provide ear plugs on each night stand for this purpose but it wasn't necessary. The bed was super comfy and pillows were firm.||||Breakfast: Starts at 9am. They had a nice spread. Two types of cereal, orange juice, coffee, yogurt, toast, fruit, granola, pan and various pastries. We ordered additional food off their simple menu. The chilaquiles verdes con huevo came with a side of beans and toasted sliced baguette. It hit the spot. Price for the chilaquiles is half the price they charge at home. The portions weren't too big but just enough to compliment other items they already serve. The roof top dining/lounge area was very nice, especially when the umbrellas were shading us from the morning sun. ||||Service: The staff (everyone) was extremely friendly and helpful. There is not one negative thing I can say about the service. ||||It's a short walk to the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. The sidewalks can be narrow at times but my kids had no issues with walking this distance. Unless you have a jogger type stroller with lots of cushion, I don't recommend a stroller. There are places with rocks (instead of squared off stone) used for paving. It would not be fun for the kid in the stroller. But you can also take the baby out of the stroller at those spots if need be. ||||I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on...
Read moreI stayed with my couple for our first year anniversary (4 nights), we choose the jacuzzi suite room, at first everything seemed to be perfect, but here goes my list of facts to to be considered before deciding staying here:||||1. They say they have valet parking service, in which we assumed that whenever we wanted to get the car, we just needed to ask for it in reception and they would drive it to the entrance of the hotel, but that never happened (only when we got there), always filled with excuses, we had to get walking to the parking lot and wait for it about 30 minutes.||||2. Our room was right next to the reception, we consider if it's a suite with jacuzzi, it needs to be in another area with a lot more privacy, there wasn't a single night I could relax and sleep without waking up.||||3. They told us that the breakfast wasn't included because of Covid-19 situation, we understood that, but it would have been better to know before making the reservation, also, we kind of heard dishes noises on some mornings (the door were the kitchen is supposed to be was opened and it seemed crowded), we are not sure if some of the guests did have the privilege of getting the breakfast.||||4. We never got the fruit basket gift mentioned on their site.||||Overall comments:||||We like that the hotel is situated walking distance for many SMA center attractions, the room and jacuzzi were always super clean, it's a really simple room but with all the amenities (mini fridge, coffee machine, body soap and shampoo, hair dryer, WIFI, cable television, air conditioner, etc...), it would have been perfect if it wasn't for the...
Read moreHola soy Hilda!
