Ok, this place is lovely. It is a great venue and the food was spectacular! I had the Aguachili Camaron which was incredibly tasty and en fuego. By that I mean very, very spicy hot. I might get it again, if they can take it down a notch. If they can’t then I will opt for the Ceviche Camaron which was spectacular! I loved the small cubes of cucumber and the overall flavor was to die for!
The rest of the table had everything from the tostadas to tacos. They were all well received. My husband said the tacos were just ok. We all had different drinks. The beer was cold and the margaritas and Palomas were fine. Nothing spectacular to me, but in fairness, I didn’t go there for the drinks. I went there for the ambience and seafood. (Music could me turned down just a bit, it is a small place and the music was very load)
Now it wasn’t crowded, so the one thing that really stuck out to me was the poor service. And I mean abysmal. No one was there when we arrived and it took a very long time to get a drink for 3 people. Then when the rest of our party arrived it got worse. We had a table of 5 and the waiter walked off without taking my husbands order. We ordered guacamole for an appetizer that was delivered with the main course food. The food all came out at different times. Others were finished eating by the time my Aguachili arrived. I ordered a Paloma that finally arrived after asking the waiter several times.
The quality of service can make or break a restaurant IMO. He may have just had a bad day and the kitchen could have been off on the timing. I spoke with the owner who was very attentive to my comments and I do appreciate that. So for that reason and because the food is spectacular and very fresh, I will return! I do recommend you try this new place out! In fact the ceviche was great the second...
Read moreYou wouldn't find it if you didn't know to ask the boutique below. No signage (or maybe we all just missed it), but that's sort of what makes in quaint. Through the boutique and up the stairs you go! The food was absolutely outstanding! I had many wonderful meals in SMA, but this one was incredible and in a very casual environment. Nothing fancy, but fresh seafood with mouth-party flavors! Highly recommend! I want this place to be a huge...
