The view is probably the best you'll get of all of San Miguel de Allende if you're wanting a good picture of that. But this town is not as lovely as Guanajuato is from above though. To get there, walk down the street "El Chorro" to the end where there is a church. You'll see some steps going up- go up and just keep going up them. You'll probably have to stop for a rest along the way because even though it is a short distance, there are probably around 200 steps. Once you get to the top, turn left and the lookout is just there. The trip to get there will take you about 15-20 minutes from the central Jardin Allende. The walk is straight up the mountain using winding pedestrian stairs. A workout for sure. Once at the Mirador, spectacular sunset views over the town with great pic opportunities of the main church glowing in the sun. To leave, go down the gradual decline of Salida Real de Queretero to Hospice (I believe 2nd left) and take that down to the Centro. Very beautiful steep road with nice views of the...
