Very clean and new hotel. The welcome desk is literally just a table by the front door which was a bit different than other hotels. Staff was very welcoming and greeted us with a non alcoholic drink. They took our bags and walked us to our room.
The restaurant was nice and outdoors. Bring bug repellent because the mosquitos do not play around. We started out with drinks. I got the black berry margarita which was very tequila forward. The passion fruit margarita was more sweet and covered the tequila better. I will be getting that next time.
We got the corn and the shrimp appetizers to share. The shrimp was great with the sauce and avocado. Unfortunately ours didn't come with the tostadas. Think that was just an oversight.
My friend and I split the pork belly and the fideos secos (mushroom pasta). It was basically chopped spaghetti with mushrooms on top. Not my favorite but my friend enjoyed it.
I really liked the pork belly. It was a giant slab that was very tender. It was supposed to come with plantains but it didn't have it. I didn't realize until writing this review. I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't included because when I did see it on the menu, I was very excited to eat the plantains.
I didn't get to try the gorditas but my friend enjoyed it and ate most of it. she said it was very filling.
We got the mazapan and the coffee flan. I really enjoyed the peanut mazapan. It was a great compliment with the salted caramel ice cream and the semi sweet chocolate.
We wanted to go swim in the pool and we checked the times. It said it closed at 9pm and we got there to check. When we came back up at 8pm they said the pool was closed.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The waitress we had didn't speak much English but used a translator app to help explain what we were eating and to get our orders.
Only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of the 5 stars is because of the missing items and the pool times. I'm sure if we had caught the missing food items they would have sent them over to us!
Overall I would recommend coming here if you're in San Miguel. Just make sure you double check what...

Read moreNumu Boutique Hotel in San Miguel de Allende is a truly a hidden gem for travelers seeking a blend of top-tier hospitality, exquisite design, and delicious quality food and drinks. The highlights for me and my family were:
LOCATION - Centrally located next to everything yet still super quiet, intimate, and relaxed atmosphere right next to the beautiful Juarez park! It was a beautiful escape from busy city life.
BREAKFAST - I know I know .. breakfast? But seriously it was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Delicious Acai bowls, chilaquiles, avocado toast, enchiladas, we tried it all and it was amazing! We also had lunch once at the pool and their drinks and food were delicious, too! (My photos dont do it justice!)
CUSTOMER SERVICE - Thank you Ximena, Gustavo, Angel and all the staff at Numu for being such kind and warm people. Ximena recommended my family and I horseback ride and it turned out as one of the best experiences we've ever had together as a family. Such a peaceful, warm, calm and beautiful experience. I will leave another beautiful review for that! Such a gem!
INTERIOR DESIGN - Numu Hotel's interior design deserves special mention. It beautifully marries traditional elements with modern aesthetics, creating a visually stunning environment that resonates with both history and contemporary chic. I wish I had more photos of the hotel itself not just the breakfast (whoops!) but you will have to experience it...
