As soon as I heard about this restaurant something told me it was going to a special place.

The layout and interior decor/styling are flawless. With its retractable roof, which allows for ample natural lighting and a cool breeze to fill the air with the amazing aroma of fine Peruvian cuisine. The decorative back wall creeps with lush foliage that draws the eye to the sky. This is the type of setting you'd want to recreate in your home living space.

Let's talk cuisine. La Parada boasts some of the freshest and finest ingredients in San Miguel de Allende. And they definitely lives up to those claims. I can't even begin to describe the fast array flavors that attack your taste buds in every mouth-watering bite. There's something for just about anyone on the menu. You will not be disappointed whatsoever.

The service and wait staff are incredible and greats every guest with a smile. They thoroughly explain every item on the menu.

I've been to many restaurants here in San Miguel de Allende, and La Parada ranks right at the top.

How is this place so highly rated? The restaurant itself is very charming, but that is all it has it going for. We ordered the Ceviche Levanta Muertos and Filete Huancaina and they were both incredibly salty.

Let's start with the Ceviche, as mentioned before, it was incredibly salty, but also, it was so small and so not worth the price. It is supposed to contain octopus, scallop, fish and shrimp, and sure it does, if you count one shrimp, miniscule chunks of octopus and a whisper of a scallop as containing all of that, and for that price, I expected atleast to get something more substantial.

The Filete Huancaina was just inedible. We left almost all the meat, it was tough and thinly sliced, and because the sauce was so salty, we just couldn't even finish it despite how much we payed for it. I wouldn't even really consider that steak at all, I'd call it rubber.

Lastly, the service was such a let down, probably the worst I have had in Mexico. Hands down, worst meal I've had in...

It was highly recommended by a local. Reviews were promising. I went for dinner . Restaurant looked nice in terms aesthetics. Only 2 service crew. Restaurant had 1 table a couple and another family of 4. So it kinda looked empty and soulless. Staff who ushered me to my seat didn’t look happy . He was at best perfunctory. But I was there for the food . Waiter who was taking my order did nothing to help me and he too looked miserable !! Anyway I ordered a potato with shrimp starter and a coriander rice with chicken. The starter was waaaayyyyy too sour and I told them. On to the rice - the chicken bits were so over -cooked it was hard. Again I told them it was not acceptable and returned the food. By this time I had lost all mojo to dine. I said I will pay for starter . There was no manager I could speak with. In the end they said I didn’t have to pay . Overall - a dining disaster for me ! A case of firm over...

Really nice place. The state of the restaurant looks good. The personnel is have an eye for detail. For example i dropped my napkin and i didn't notice. They gave me a new one and said i dropped it. The food i ordered was excellent. I ordered Chino Cochino which is pork ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans and gravy. The taste of the mashed potatoes was great the texture was just a bit to grainy for my taste. The beans go really good with the ribs because they have a really good grilled tast. They where however a bit under cooked. The ribs was super tender. It just falls apart while you look at it. The gravy is perfect. It has the right thickness and the taste is sweat with salty and goes really well with the ribs and mashed potatoes. The whole balance was perfect. I had the Pisco mojito as a drink. This one was done really good and wasn't to sweet.
