Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights on our way through Casablanca to Marrakech from Fes, and I would have left right away if I could have afforded it. I guess I’ll start with the very limited positives. We got a “superior double room” and this meant we had a nice big bed which was actually pretty comfortable (despite the duvet being horrifically stained inside the sheets). The breakfast selection was also pretty good and the staff serving it were bright and attentive. The location of the hotel wasn’t bad either. I’m afraid that’s where the positives end. ||||A lot of what this hotel is advertised to be on multiple websites (for example booking.com and tripadvisor itself) simply isn’t the case. Certain amenities/facilities advertised are just not available, and every question at reception about the facilities or lack there of is met with a general “that’s not our fault, you should have known, go away” reply. The hotel comes across as seedy and dark, and on our way to the room we were stared down in silence by a group of men in one of the hallways, it generally felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. Notices both at reception and in the room hammer into you that the hotel is not responsible for anything that is stolen during your stay. This, coupled with the general bad vibe and previous reviews stating their money was stolen made us feel like we had to take all our valuables with us, not even trusting the safe.||||There are many downsides to this hotel, so much so that I’m not sure I’ll be able to remember all of them here, so if anyone has any questions feel free to ask them. But here goes.||||The guy at reception was uninterested and blazé, and in need of some serious customer service training. The room itself was not as clean as it should have been and the “minibar” advertised was an extremely dirty, empty mini fridge, with yellow stains all over the inside. It looked like someone had tossed a firecracker and a yellow tomato in there for a laugh. No exaggeration. The shower was cold on the first day and Luke warm on the second day. We had towels on the first day, complete with holes ran through each one, and these were taken for cleaning and we were never given fresh ones, or even the same ones back, resulting in us having to use a travel towel between us that we brought along. Booking.com advertised a sea view, but I doubt any room in the hotel would offer this. There was no balcony as advertised either. Booking.com cites Soundproofing but this is laughable, as it is very noisy at all times of day and we could hear all sorts from club music to angle grinders on concrete, both FROM WITHIN THE HOTEL, not even from the streets outside. ||||THE BIGGEST ISSUE: after a day or two we noticed that there were holes in our bathroom wall that led to a cupboard of sorts accessible by the staff/anyone happening by from the hallway, meaning anyone could peek through into the shower if they wanted and we’d be none the wiser. Disgusting.||||It is advertised as a luxury hotel and a 4 star, but I would not even give it a 1. Honestly I think the place should close. Not only do they fail on multiple counts to adhere to the basic expectations of a hotel, there are massive shortfalls and horrific issues that would close down an establishment in many other countries. ||||I’ve never been so disgusted and hope that after reading this and the other reviews that you will save yourself from a dreadful experience....
Read moreI had booked for a day at the hotel Prince de Paris and according to their information on booking.com, check-in was allowed from 12 am. I visited the hotel at 2:00 am on the 13th of September and the receptionist told me that he could not find my reservation. He finally found out that they had written 12 pm on the 13th of Sept. I showed him the print-screen from booking.com, and he could not accept it. After arguing for an hour, we finally get a room and paid for an extra day. The sheets were yellow from use and hair on it could be found. The one of the two towels had blood stains, unsuccessfully washed. The rest towels were simply torn. There was a smell of mouldiness everywhere at the room and hotel. We changed room the next day. The new room was cleaner, but mould was recognizable at the walls, as well as in the atmosphere. Breakfast was below average. For sure it is not a 4* hotel as it presents itself. Staff was not welcoming. If you travel on budget, choose it....
Read moreThe location of the hotel for me was perfect, it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the local market. It's a 30 minute walk to the famous mosque from the hotel. The room I had was large and comfortable with an amazing bed. However there were unfortunately some downsides too; the walls are very thin (i could hear my neighbors phone conversation), after a shower the room got wet (major condensation on the windows), the window cant open due to safety but this means there's no fresh airflow in the room, the bathroom had a fairly high platform that you could only reach through the bathtub to get to the towels (the combination of wet tub + high platform can be dangerous). The breakfast buffet was good, there was a fairly large amount of foods to choose from. I am a vegetarian and had a great breakfast to start off my day with. Dinner was nothing special....
