Before I write anything about the aspects of the hotel, I'd like to address what I feel was most significant and conveys the essence of a stay at Hotel Le Doge. This concerns Kenza - I could go on and on about how impressed I was with her - (I hope I have her name spelled correctly) and the exceptional level of care she - and the rest of the staff - provided daily.||I had a medical issue very early on a Saturday morning. Around 6:30am, I had asked about clinics in the area and their hours, but I really wasn't in any state to leave the room though I didn't say that. Almost immediately after returning to the room, the phone rang informing us that they had contacted a doctor who would be at our room within 20 minutes. After the doctor wrote scripts for the medications I needed, one of the staff went to the pharmacy as soon as it had opened and promptly brought those medications to our room. ||While I'm incredibly grateful that this was made possible, this is exactly the level of service you will receive at the Hotel Le Doge. Yes, it's a hotel but it's truly a home away from home where you will be looked after as if you are part of the hotel's family. There are very few hotels for which I can wrote that.||Our stay was for 4 nights in the Charlie Chaplin room, 1 of just 16 rooms themed after notable figures of that storied era. Our room included a small patio surrounded by plants. Keys are left at the front desk when you go out for the day, and you can expect the staff to know exactly which room you are in when they welcome you back from my observation. ||The hotel is on a quiet residential street with valet parking if needed. A spa is available, though we didn't have time to make use of it. The rooftop restaurant provides a solid set menu or buffet style breakfast, and the dinner menu offers an array of choices. I'm not sure if they technically offer room service, but my partner had breakfast in our room while I had my medical issue. Even if the hotel doesn't actually offer room service, in our experience no matter what you ask for will be made possible. Quite simply: "no" is not in the hotel's vocabulary. ||The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that water from the shower tended to soak the floor despite a glass panel mounted on the side of the bathtub/shower combo. However, for the top level service you will enjoy, that is truly a...
Read moreWe were looking forward our one night in Casablanca on our last day of an unreal and magnificent 18 days vacation in Morocco |The place looked good but definitely a dated decor, specifically the rooms, covered in velvet, ( our room was RED), but no issue there. |We went to tour after leaving our luggage in the room in order to spend the most time exploring Casablanca |After the whole afternoon walking and taking the sites, had dinner and got back to the room for a shower and a good sleep before our early trip home the next day.|My wife went first and she immediately called me regarding the black mould in the tub enclosure and all the way up in the ceiling!|Left the complaining on the health hazard for checkout in the morning.|We left early about 20 to 6 in the morning so the shift manager was not available, requested they correct the problem ASAP as this is a serious health issue and should not be present, I also requested some sort of compensation for the gross state of the bathroom but was told “ I understand sir and would be something I would agree ( some compensation) but the manager is not available and I’m not authorized.|Left a note for the manager to contact me so he can explain and compensate us, but I’m yet to hear from him or anyone else at the hotel.|I was told that the couple we were travelling with also had the same problem in...
Read moreI recently had a terrible experience at Hôtel Le Doge, and unfortunately, it's not the first time. The receptionist's attitude was shockingly unprofessional and incompetent. I had a scheduled meeting with a group on the rooftop, and when I arrived, instead of providing clear information and helping me join the group, the receptionist was dismissive and unhelpful.
He seemed confused and incapable of handling a simple request, making me feel unwelcome. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for an establishment that claims to offer luxury experiences. I was left frustrated by the lack of professionalism and the poor quality of the reception service, which put a damper on the rest of my visit.
I strongly urge Hôtel Le Doge to improve the training of their reception staff and ensure they can provide the level of service expected from a high-end hotel. If this doesn’t change, I will have to reconsider any future bookings or events at...
