Great. Perfect location, in the middle of everything. Great staff. Did not meet the French owner, who sounds a nice person on the phone. Very clean place. Very cheap, compared to everywhere else! Wonderfully decorated, even if it might need a little work. Breakfast included, with big teapot of coffee/tea and big teapot of milk coming with it, one big great baguette, butter, jam, croissant Au chocolat-very good, not greasy - , orange juice, omelette, one little cheese. WI fi at the reception and on each floor, but not inside the room-sometimes. Some rooms are darker, because they overlook the corridor, and not all of them are ensuite - but in that case, u have your bathroom anyway. Downside : it s a small place, so it fills up quickly, and u might not be able to extend your stay if u want.||Also,i pointed out at the staff that u need something to prevent windows from bumping against the wall-they bump all the time-when not closed-because of the strong winds always present in essaouira, not good for the windows themselves and for guests . And something should be done for the latch of the doors, that do not work properly. merci a tous! It s home away from home. Ah, last but not least : on n entend pas la...
Read moreI stayed for a week in Riad Al Arboussas. They gave me a warm welcome and nice room (spacious, light, double bed (as a solo-traveler), bathroom) . ||There are rooms without a window too, so if you need some light, ask in advance.||The room and bathroom were clean, and every day a (big) fresh towel. ||The staff made me really feel at home, they were helpful and very friendly, with also a good sense of humor. The breakfast was also highly appreciated: baked or boiled egg, Maroccon pancake, bread, teas & coffee, chocolate croissant etc. (thank you again!) ||The Riad is in a nice location of Essaouira, very close to Scala, and in the heart of the center. There are several restaurants in the area, and plenty of shops ;-). . There's wifi and a television in your room. Also a nice roof terrace. The riad itself has a nice atmosphere. I can...
Read moreSmall basic rooms in an appealing old-style house—what some people perceive as worn down, I found quaint. Location inside the medina and my window overlooked a small alley. Staff didn't have an Essaouira map but explained the tourist information office. Wifi is extremely fast and basic breakfast is filling. After check out, the receptionist got me a barrow man to carry my bag in pouring rain to the bus station (he covered it with a tarp). I did not rate 5 because there is no heat so my room was extremely...
