Mechouar Plaza — Hotel in Essaouira

Before I left i saw a couple of reviews on this hotel on Tripadvisor and all 3 were saying their room was cancelled last minute. I ignored this, thinking it was abargain and a couple of people on google reviews made it seem trustworthy - its not!||||As the other few reviews mentioned (now seem deleted)....I am extremely disappointed with my experience with the Mechouar Hotel. I booked this hotel through Booking.com and received a booking confirmation and all seemed ready to go, I even mentioned up to the date and all along my hotel room was confirmed. Then the day I was meant to check in at 11am (I was arriving at 4pm) I was messaged via whatsapp saying there was no space for me.||||Upon arrival I spoke to a nice guy on reception who was about to give me a key but then the manager jumped in and said there was no space. Definitely felt very odd and made me not trust him.||||I think a previous reviewer said it best - I was really angry and shocked by this situation. Not only did this create a huge inconvenience for me, but it also showed a lack of professionalism and respect towards their customers. How is it possible that a confirmed reservation is not honored?||||This experience ruined our stay and forced us to urgently find alternative accommodation, which resulted in additional expense and a lot of stress. The owner did walk me to another Riad, but the whole reason I booked this place was because I was sick of riads and wanted an actual hotel. The other hotel was not of the same standard but of the same cost and even then I was told one price and got there and it was more. It seemed liked the 2 hotels have a bit of an agreement or looks like Merchoaur does this all the time.||||I strongly advise against booking this hotel, as their lack of organization and professionalism is unacceptable. I sincerely hope that no one else has to experience such disappointment...

I don't understand how anyone could write negative reviews about this hotel. Location 10/10 you walk out of the hotel and you are in the main street of the medina, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 3 minutes to the taxi stand, 10 minutes to the bus station. There is always something going on on the street opposite the hotel, there is always someone playing or singing, you have free entertainment, especially if you take a room with a balcony overlooking the street (I recommend paying a few euros more for such a room) you sit with tea on the balcony and listen and watch musicians, something beautiful. Rooms: I recommend paying more for the one overlooking the main street, they are cleaned daily, they have everything a European could want, plenty of sockets for chargers, tv with the ability to log in to netflix, I used it only once, there was too much to see to watch tv. The hotel has a beautiful and modern restaurant. Service: extremely nice, friendly, kind and helpful people! Greetings...

J'ai récemment séjourné à l'hôtel Mechouar Plaza et j'ai été très impressionné par la qualité de mon expérience. Dès mon arrivée, j'ai été accueilli chaleureusement par le personnel qui s'est montré extrêmement professionnel et attentionné tout au long de mon séjour.

L'hôtel lui-même est magnifiquement décoré avec une touche moderne tout en conservant des éléments de design marocain traditionnel. Ma chambre était spacieuse, impeccablement propre et équipée de toutes les commodités nécessaires pour un séjour confortable. Le lit était particulièrement confortable, assurant des nuits de sommeil reposantes.

Le restaurant de l'hôtel offre une variété de plats délicieux, allant des spécialités marocaines aux options internationales. Chaque repas était un véritable plaisir, préparé avec des ingrédients frais et servi avec soin. Le petit-déjeuner buffet était particulièrement impressionnant, offrant un large choix de fruits frais, pâtisseries, et plats chauds.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal, situé à proximité de nombreux sites touristiques et des principales attractions de la ville. Cela m'a permis d'explorer facilement les environs sans avoir à voyager trop loin.

Les installations de l'hôtel, y compris la piscine et le spa, sont bien entretenues et offrent un excellent moyen de se détendre après une journée de visites. J'ai également apprécié la connexion Wi-Fi rapide et fiable, ce qui était un plus pour rester connecté.

En résumé, mon séjour à l'hôtel Mechouar Plaza a été exceptionnel. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à tous ceux qui cherchent un hébergement de qualité avec un excellent service et un emplacement pratique. Je reviendrai certainement lors de mon prochain voyage...
