Amazing Sahara Desert Experience! My husband and I booked with Desert Luxury Camp for a 4D3N package at the Superior Camp at Merzouga. We were picked up from our hotel in Fez in a very comfortable SUV. Our driver Mouaad was exceptional -- very professional and took care of us all the way. The first day was a lot of driving (around 8 hrs) with pitstops for photos, lunch and washroom break. When we reached the Sahara Desert, it was perfect timing for an ATV experience which we loved (additional cost of 800 DH per person), but it was worth it as it was a private ATV guide. We then have to change to a 4x4 to off-road I to the camp (only about 15 mins drive). The campsite and tent was so beautiful! Much more luxurious than I expected. The tent was very spacious, extremely clean, and a glass wall to see the dunes and sunrise. There is heat and AC in the tent, with. Private toilet shower and bathtub. The Superior Camp O my had 4 tents, so it was quite secluded and intimate. All the meal served were absolutely delicious! All the staff were very friendly, especially Omar! We highly recommend to do the 4D3N tour as opposed to the 3D2N, bc with 4D3N, you actually get to spend 2 nights at the Desert. If only doing g 3D2N, you typically arrive desert in the eveNing, and have to leave early the next morning, which was very little time to admire and experienCe the true beauty of the Desert. Because we were there for 2 nights, we had time to do an ATV O. The first evening, camel riDe plus picnic lunch on the second day, plus to.e to relax, read a book, and do some sandboarding on the second day. Third day we get picked up after breakfast, and drove to Draw Valley for the night - we stayed at the Kasbah De Hnini, and it was a nice hotel with a very spacious room. on the fourth day we head to Marrakech with stops in Ouazazate, and got dropped off at our hotel in Marrakech. We were so grateful for the Sahara Desert Experience, and would highly recommend Desert Luxury Camp to anyone who wants to visit the Sahara but don’t want to tough it out. We were very well taken care of, and enjoyed every moment...

We can’t say enough amazing things about our driver Ali! Ali was kind, professional, and has an extensive knowledge of Moroccan culture and history. Often it’s the driving distance to the Sahara (6+ hours days in a car) that turns people away, but because of Ali we truly loved every minute of it! He knew I was interested in taking pictures and he made several stops at beautiful photos places along the way. We had delicious lunches during both days of our driving that Ali recommended! We were celebrating our honeymoon and Ali went out of his way to make our trip extra special with little surprises. I recommend you try and request to book Ali as your driver when you book your stay.
The camp experience and service was exceptional! The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed! The staff is so attentive and thoughtful! They even surprised us with a table for sunset with a bottle of wine and delicious snacks - a moment we will remember forever! All the meals we had at desert luxury were delicious! We stayed for 2 nights which is what I would recommend to enjoy your stay to the fullest extent. On our first day we had a sand buggy in the Sahara at sunset - which we loved! Our camel ride the next day was so memorable! Our guide helped capture amazing pictures of us on our camels too! The picnic lunch in the middle of the Sahara after camels blew us away!
We also loved our time at Dar Hini on the way back to Marrakech! The resort was lovely and they provided a great hammam experience. They also spoiled us with a beautiful room for our honeymoon!

Read moreGreat experience at the Desert Luxury Camp, which is near Merzouga. Overall, this is an experience of culture & desert, & offers time to experience the desert & clear night skies. Service is great with the staff picking us up from the town, parking our car & bringing us to the camp. At the camp, staff were great with service, trying to meet any need. For vegetarians & vegans, they will accommodate you, & we had no problem with breakfast, lunch, snacks or dinner. They made special Berber & Moroccan dishes we did not get elsewhere. The tents, bathrooms & campsite were kept clean. The campsite included an area to relax & where every evening they sang Berber songs & played traditional music. The sand hill at the side was lit up every night. There was an area away from the tents to lounge & also eat. Camel rides are provided at no charge. I also had a sand burial, which was a great massage. There is plenty of time to explore the desert & walk to the nearest patch of trees & bushes. At night, the skies are very clear & you can gaze at starts & planets. We saw Mars & meteorites. When other tourists have left the camp, you can have total silence from man made or natural sounds. I would not recommend a one night stay, as you basically will come in the evening tired from a long hot car ride, have dinner, listen to some music, & leave after breakfast. Stay at least 2 nights to experience the desert in its daytime peace, watch the sand beetles, watch the sunset, & skygaze at night. Life in the desert moves at a different pace than the...
