We went to Poka for the last evening of my mom's visit in Marrakech. I made a reservation in advance. The restaurant had a very lovely ambience with dimmed, warm lighting, candles on each table and stylish furniture. Liounge music was playing in the background. Unfortunately the lights were dimmed to a point where one could not read the menu without the help of a flashlight. When we arrived, there was nobody in the restaurant to welcome us and we stood for a few minutes waiting for anyone to arrive from behind the scenes and acknowledge us - even though we were not the only guests. We were then led to a nicely set table and asked for our beverage preference. The service was nice and friendly, however impersonal and unengaged, the order process quick. I was a little disappointed with the food as not only did our Phô soup come out luke warm, there was so much star anis used, it overpowered every other aspects of this fine dish. The spring rolls my husband had ordered also did not come out warm and that took away the feeling of fresh food being served. Taste-wise, the sauteed noodles, pad thai, sushi and green curry were good and overall we enjoyed a nice evening at a good price /...
Read moreGreat asian fusion restaurant with a very contemporary interior 5 mins in a taxi from main square. We had dinner here on Saturday night and the restaurant was busy but not loud as good space between the tables. Great attentive and friendly staff who were more than happy to help with and questions and recommendations with the menu. We had a selection of dim sum, gyozas. All good but the family favourite would be the prawn dim sum which we ordered 2 more portions of. We share 2 prawn pad thais (great succulent prawns) and a wok fried fillet of beef with rice (bit sweet for my taste but our 13 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed it). To finish we shared a creme brûlée which was delicious, smooth with warm hints of cinnamon and ginger. A couple of bottles of the Medallion (Moroccan) red wine came to 1,450MAD without service, which was impeccable throughout the dinner from Hassan. Highly recommended and will return before we leave...

I saw the comments previously written saying it is the best sushi in town, we had big expectations.
If this is the best of Marrakech, I am very sorry for you guys.
Gyoza, fried rolls were simply bad. Far from the origins. Sriracha is not a good companion for every asian food. Be creative and make a good sauce to go with the gyozas you already changed the content. Balance the acidity with a good sauce.
Sushi’s fish were fresh but plain. Flavourless and tasteless. Gari was sent after we asked for it. (It was fresh). Wasabi quality was really bad. Either it was expired or mixed with other products to increase the quantity. Texture and the taste of wasabi screaming there was something wrong with it.
Price/quality balance is very low...
