Hotel Sunaulo Inn — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Of the 20+ hotels I have stayed at in Nepal: THIS IS EASILY THE WORST HOTEL IN NEPAL||||I came here strictly because they advertised having both soundproof windows and soundproofing in the rooms. What a complete farce. The windows are just regular windows. And the ongoing staff conversations reverberate throughout the tiled stairwells and hallways, (especially continuously from 7:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m). I.E. THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF THE NOISIEST HOTELS WHICH I HAVE EVER STAYED AT IN ANY COUNTRY! (WORLD TRAVELER, 130+ COUNTRIES). (Why the desire for soundproofing? because I have become sensitized to the barking of dogs - dogs here bark upwards of hundreds of times per hour, often with 3-4 dogs barking at a time, sometimes 10-12, and definitely all night long [I work online late at night]).||||"View"/"City View" is of a narrow street with closed tall buildings and a motorcycle repair shop (read very little sunlight).||||"Satellite Channels" - only 5 (game shows/religious), other channels scrambled. N.B. staff has unscrambled channels, but not customers.||||Internet connectivity: completely unreliable (once again staff has connectivity but not customers).||||Telephone service is turned off at night - so unable to contact "24 hour front desk"||||hot water - never hot, 15 minute wait for fluctuating unreliable lukewarm water at best||||"Feather pillow" - non-existent (these are all foam pillows)||"Lockers" - non-existent ||"Carpeted" - non-existent||"Upper floors accessible by stairs only" - not just "upper floors," all floors||||"accepts... American Express, Visa, Euro/Mastercard, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro, Discover, UnionPay" - simply not so, of the eight (8) listed they accept only one: Visa.||||Room service food: poor to mediocre, e.g. chicken biryani is more chicken bones than chicken (biryani is not supposed to have any bones at all) - then again I was hungry, tired and had just arrived...).||||World Traveler, World Volunteer...

For any hotel location is one of the important and determining factors. This hotel is located at a decent location and is close to the sacred Pashupatinath Mandir. |Coming to the amenities and facilities . They don’t have a PROPER HOT WATER. We visited in march and yet the temp was as low as 10-12C. And in that we had to use really cold water. Inspite of repeated complains not much help could be provided from the hotels end. There is for sure some serious issue as the system is really inconsistent. |The room size was okish.|Coming to food and room service , had only tried tea and it was good. The staffs were polite and courteous. In all may be better options...
