Himalayan Java Coffee - Airport — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Himalayan Java has been my go-to coffee place since a long long time. Some branches are exceptionally good, but some just don’t meet the standards that some of their other branches have set. The TIA branch seems to be of the latter category. Don’t get me wrong, the coffee was decent and the staff seemed decently courteous. But when I ordered a Cheese Ham Tomato panini, they told me they were out of tomatoes and asked if those could be substituted with pineapples. I agreed to it. 15+ mins into the order and they told me they were out of pineapples too. So, I was served a sandwich without tomatoes or pineapples, and they still charged me the same amount for it. Making things worse, they took forever to get me my order, a simple sandwich. And the quality was really not up to the mark of food served by the Thamel branch, for instance. Located in the parking lot of the Tribhuvan International Airport, the Himalayan Java brews and serves one of the best coffees in Nepal. I was at the airport to see my niece off, and as it started to drizzle, I was looking for a place to sip some coffee and attend a virtual meeting, and my daughter wanted to have some cake. Really really nice staffs. It’s at airport parking lot and there are always tourist customers here trying to get a taxi with decent price.
