We booked the property as we were satisfied by the photos and description added on MMT. ||The first and broader look on the internet gives satisfactory feelings, but your suffering starts even before you reach the property: it is situated in the middle of a dense housing colony, where you can only reach after passing through two or three narrow lanes. No taxi driver was willing to go there… ||||1. As we had seen the picture of a triple occupancy family room, with three proper beds, we had booked two rooms for six adults of our family. But, the hotel did not have a proper bed for third occupant in the second room, and arranged mattress on the floor. When enquired, they said that they thought we must be travelling with a child who could be accommodated in a sofa! (Even though we had clearly mentioned in the booking that we are 6-adults). ||||2. Now starts a series of terrible experience…. We met a team of very rude and arrogant hotel staff! ||||3. In tea-coffee kit, they didn’t provide milk pouches. When asked, they rudely said, others are drinking black coffee and tea, why can’t you? Imagine the inconvenience and the arrogance!||||4. There was seepage in the room which was causing very depressing smell. We anyhow managed without complaining, as we knew they could not do anything regarding this. ||||5. Let’s come to the food: they would mix stale vegetables in breakfast buffet and repeat the same in the Lunch/ dinner. One example: They mixed previous night‘a paneer leftover pieces in aloo-bhaji of morning breakfast. They would prepare a dish like pakora and call it Bhatura! You are left with no choice! Same story of stale food is experienced in dinner buffet. They don’t give choices and if one asks for, they would pass remarks: “these Indians!” We overheard them passing remark to an old couple when they said that Naan was cold! You have to eat whatever is kept on the service table. ||||6. Room service erratic: if we ask for tea or water bottle in the room, they would ask us to come and collect it ourselves as they don’t have manpower.||||7. Ambiguity in water pricing: we were initially told that water is free. One day, a service boy said that it’s not. When enquired, the reception guy said that it’s free. But, when we got the final bill, huge amount of water bill was added: 75 rupees plus 10% service charge per bottle: (don’t know, which service they charged for)! When argued, they said only one bottle per person per day is free, remaining is chargeable. The tone and remarks of the staff was too bad on this too: when I said, if you behave like this, how can I give you good ratings on MMT? He carelessly said, “You write whatever you feel!” ||||8. Let’s come to the toiletries now: toothbrush: can’t use even once: good that we carried ours! Toothpaste: the tiny tube could not be squeezed: again good that I accidentally carried ours! Small soaps were kept for hand washing: which was so hard that no foam could be generated even after rubbing for minutes! So, we used small packets of bath gel and shampoo for hand washing. Shaving kit had a shaving foam without any foam and razor without any capacity to do it’s work! ||||9. Towels were dirty, old and seemed to have been in use for cleaning. To add, on the last day of our stay, one of the towels was even damaged. ||||10. Privacy and security: imagine a property situated in the middle of private houses and bathrooms have Broken windows! I wish, I could add the photos of the window here… We were so frustrated by complaining for each and every problem we were facing that, we ourselves covered the bathroom windows by arranging some clothes. ||||11. To add to the plight, they were never ready to listen to the customer, and even misbehaved and taunted for being Indian! ||||12. The food, which was either stale, or badly cooked, was overpriced too: when we went to other restaurants, we found that their prices were reasonable and the quality of food was also good. ||||For all these “services” for six of us, we had paid 39,214 INR on booking plus 14,753.75 on checking out! ||||We are still confused whether we lived in a hotel or in a Dharmashala which is meant only for a...
Read moreOur trip to Kathmandu was extremely pleasant and satisfying one. At the outset, I would like to thank the people of Nepal for being so helpful and polite. I must thank Nepal Police for being so helpful and courteous. Without their help, it would have been very difficult for me to take my aged mother for Lord Pashupati darshan in wheel chair. They made it so smooth and quick. My heartiest regards and appreciation to Nepal Police. Regarding our stay in Pashupati Boutique Hotel, I must convey my heartiest thanks to all the staff for their prompt service and polite behaviour. Driver Narayan was very helpful and deserves special appreciation for his out of way help. All the three front desk persons Cyrus, Lalit and Umesh were very cordial and supportive. Why I mentioned these above is because a city is not only made of bricks, stone, sand and cement, it is the human beings and their affection and behaviour that makes the soul of the city unique. Same applies for this hotel too. The hotel is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean. Food is very tasty and of good quality. However, above all these, the service, behaviour and helping nature of the entire staff makes the hotel unique. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to travel...
Read moreFirst time travelled to Nepal(Kathmandu) and hotel came out so good felt like a great decision. Rooms, service and staff no words to say as so good. Staff is so polite and helpful. We had no idea of Nepal road due to which had scary experience. Almost 150-200km road was in progress with full of dust and no road at all. We booked this hotel for 3 nights but due to road condition it took us long to reach to Kathmandu due to which our 1day stay wasted. But when we reached in morning due to great service and facilities we got peace. Best part is food we got here. They have very limited options in breakfast but taste was so good that in 2 days we didn't got such food in Kathmandu so at the time of living we had dinner in hotel itself. Also as we checked out early in morning as per our request they provided us breakfast too. At the reasonable price this hotel is must recommend for stay. They have narrow road to reach to hotel and limited parking area. This hotel is near to Pashupatinath temple and peaceful. If you need peace this hotel is recommended but if you want crowded and club area you can check Thamel area. But if you go to Kathmandu have a time and...
