If you want to know all the details stay with me a couple of minutes👇
We stayed 56 days here. We found it through Google Maps, at that time they didn't have many reviews as it is a recently built place. But we trust our guts and thanks God we did. We were struggling to fin a good hotel in Pokhara until we tried here.
The hosts are amazing people. With big heart, caring, honest and felt like family to us. They are the kind of hosts thta really want to run a good hotel.
The owner always surprised us with a morning tea, and almost always am afternoon tea. He invited us home cooked lunch a couple of times and we even knew his home for breakfast once.
He gave us tips about trekking although we didn't do any we met many people that did it under his advice and they were happy with the experience. They also offer you to go to Chitwan, his hometown, to explore the jungle and local life. We met people that did it and they were happy as well.
There is a kitchen they kindly let you use with all the utensils you can need. There is also a fridge, microwave and filtered water (osmosis system water) you can drink.
You can use the washing machine for 250 rupees. They provide even the detergent and they have plenty space to let dry the clothes.
They have hot shower powered by solar panels.
You can change the sheets and towels when you like as well as clean your room.
The common areas are really useful and clean, they clean it every single day.
They have yoga mats if you want to do yoga in the roof.
You can see monkeys from the roof!! They mostly are in the mornings and sometimes in the afternoon. Of course they are wild monkeys so is good you don't disturb them.
The location is amazing. In less than 2 min walking you have restaurants, really good cafes and the lake with good night life. As is really near the center you can hear ay nights the people screaming in Disneyland but is really not disturbing, inside the room with the windows closed you cannot hear it that loud.
Sometimes there is also live music nearby. So it can be that some days, mostly nights you hear it. For us it was ok because we don't mind at all and we couldn't really hear it that loud inside the room.
The location is very good for living the festive days in Nepal. You are steps away from so much night life.
They celebrated the Diwali in the hotel and included any guest that wanted to participate. It was so amazing to be that involved in such local tradition. We ate amazing home cooked lunch, we danced with their family and did the ritual they do in Diwali.
You cannot miss the BREAKFAST! It is so nurturing and flavorful. It costed 150 rupees only and we were full until the afternoon. We stayed 56 days and had 55 breakfasts, so you can tell they were pretty good.
There is always one of the owners in the hotel so you are never alone.
I've been traveling 10 months around Asia and stayed in more than 20 hotels and I can tell you I finally felt taken care in a unknown culture and country for me. That really gave me some peace of mind that I was craving during the trip.
They also arranged our coming back to Kathmandu bus and took us to the bus station.
The last day of our trip the owner invited us to eat in an amazing place in the mountain. He drove for more than 2 hours just for giving us that amazing experience, asking nothing in return.
Please, don't doubt coming here. They are such amazing people doing a good job at a good...
Read moreI cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and the lovely family that run it. They were so welcoming that it made me feel like I was at home for my entire stay. The rooms were quite modern with ensuite bathroom - clearly freshly built and well insulated. The place was always spotlessly clean. There were also great views of the lake from the balcony and rooftop areas, but it was far removed enough from the main street that noise was not an issue. Breakfast every morning was a delight of fresh and healthy food. The owner was extremely helpful and was happy to facilitate booking buses and use of the washing machine after coming back from trekking with some seriously dirty clothes! Nothing seems to be too much for this family, and they are always around to help. Close to the all the wonderful restaurants that lakeside offers. Great value for money overall also. Even though it was a hotel rather than a hostel, it was easy to meet people on the balconies or around the breakfast table. This was the best place I stayed at overall in Nepal and I would not hesitate to come back or to recommend. It's the kind of place which makes you stay in Pokhara for a much longer time than you planned! Many thanks Nareng and Sandesh for a memorable stay, I'll be back...
Read moreHotel Peace Valley is a terrific hotel.
I'd been in Pokhara a few days before I came to this hotel. Previously, I'd been in a hostel with poor beds that left me with a bad back. I was also a bit unwell with a cold. I decided that I needed to switch to a hotel where I could relax and recover.
Hotel Peace Valley was perfect for that goal. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms very pleasant, plus the showers always had hot water with good pressure.
The owner, Neeran (I'm spelling that wrong I think) is very welcoming and an excellent host, and his family are very nice too.
Neeran also leads trips to his home in Chitwan, at a very reasonable price, and he'll take you on a trip to explore his home village and search for Rhinos and whatnot.
The hotel itself is nicely set back from the road, unlike many others, so it is quite peaceful, and several rooms have a good view of the lake.
I heartily...
