Hotel Sam's inn — Hotel in Pokhara

I chose this place for the cheap price, large balcony and access to and view to the lake. However, the room is basic and bare. There is a bed and that's it. No desk or table, dresser or cupboard. The bed was hard and felt like I was sleeping on a bag of sand. I woke up sore and in a bad mood because no matter how I turned, it was so uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep. There is no sheet or blanket, just a top cover but if you take it off, there's no cover sheet on the "mattress." I liked the communal kitchen but when I opened the fridge, bugs practically crawled out. It's filthy with broken shelves and rotting food and the kitchen itself has just a hot plate and a water faucet that drips all day long. The couple who run it are adorable, welcoming and helpful but the room itself is not comfortable and in spite of the cheap price and location is just...

If you are only in Pokhara for a few days then Lakeside is great fun. But if you plan to stay longer then somewhere more peaceful and out-of-town is important for us. ||||Only a 10 min walk from Lakeside, further round the lake and facing the first paraglider landing zone, is Sam's Inn. Big rooms, nice bathrooms, great terrace with views over the lake and a good price and Mrs Gautam will cook for you (Dal bhat) if you can't be bothered walking to one of several nearby restaurants.||AND there is a kitchen where you can cook for yourself. Это, по сути, семейный хоумстей. Семья собственников занимает первый этаж. А второй и третий - гостевые апартаменты. Красивый, в традиционном непальском стиле, дом. Номера все очень светлые - по 2-3 окна, обязательно на разные стороны. Поэтому в комнатах всегда свежий воздух. Есть номера с кухнями, остальные гости могут пользоваться общей кухней (с холодильником) на крыше. Во всех номерах установлены 20-литровые бутыли с кранами с качественной питьевой водой. Все этажи - с видовыми террасами - виды и на Фева-лейк и на горы, в том числе на Саранкот с фуникулёром и на Ступу на другой стороне озера. Регулярные уборки всех помещений, хорошее постельное бельё. Очень доброжелательная атмосфера. Хозяин отеля - Сэм и его дочь Сахана - отлично говорят на английском. Расположен отель в тихой и зелёной деревушке Седи, примыкающей к Покхаре. Пешком до основной прогулочной тропы вдоль озера в Покхаре - 15-20.минут. На местном автобусе - 5 минут до центра Покхары. Автобусы ходят регулярно и с очень небольшими интервалами. В самом Седи -есть также вся бытовая инфраструктура - поэтому нет необходимости ехать за покупками в Покхару. Да и цены здесь на всё (фрукты-овощи, в многочисленных кафе, пекарнях и ресторанчиках, аренда жилья)- здесь более демократичные.

Рекомендую этот отель и вообще местечко Седи для всех, кто любит тихую жизнь на природе...И хочет найти бюджетный вариант для спокойной и...
